Morning and happy Friday
Bank account looks healthy today, albeit it won't be for long.
Moved some money over to cover the end of the month but will properly check how much is needed later.
I'm so ditsy, I took half day today as I thought it was DS's sports day this morning.....but it's actually on the 21st July :rotfl: so I've taken it anyway as I've 5 days left I can play with.
My old, old company the one I left before I started this diary is in dire straights. Chances are they'll go under today and the remaining staff won't get paid, realistically they should've gone 6 months ago. I feel for the friends I have that are still there but I'm so glad I left a year ago.
On to today....
Got work to do - Booooo!!!!
Going to have a wander around Morrisons, get some bits
Finances
Housework
I need to buy my travel card and parking, going to see if they can start it from Monday.
My July goals can start  need to definitely try harder this month.0 -
Hiya,
Productive day - shopping done, bar a few bits. Freezer is full. Aiming to not over spend on this, this month. Need to sort the meal plan out.
Work done and dusted, although I had a half day, I did log on more than I should've but it gets it out of the way.
Dinner is cooking in the oven.
CC's paid, so the MBNA and Cap 1 have reduced a bit more.
Just need to order DD's uniform, as there's 20% off and the deal runs out on the 4th July.
Nephew & his kids are coming to visit tomorrow, so probably a BBQ if the weathers nice.
Prom dress shopping Sunday. I put in a request for absence for DD, so hopefully they'll agree it.0 -
All going in the right direction
Have a lovely weekend x0 -

Morning
Had a great day yesterday, saw our nephew and his kids, they came up to visit, our two thoroughly enjoyed it.
Off shopping with the girly today for her Prom next Friday, nearest shop is Next and looking on their website, they've quite a few reasonably priced dresses. Told DD that she's getting a dress that she can wear again. Hopefully we'll hear from the school on Monday that she can leave at 1.30pm on Friday.
Other things to do today:
Change our bed
Wash bedding & towels & hang out
Meal plan
Dye hair
Back later x0 -
Useful shopping trip today, bought DD's dress and sandals for £36
I gave her free reign in Next and she chose four dresses to try and settled on the one she's going to wear on Friday.
Took her in to M&S and bought her a bigger size in training bras, she's nearly as big as I was at 24
Bought DH underwear and socks. Who says romance is dead eh?
Our bed has been changed and bedding and towels washed and hung out to dry.
Meatballs made for Wednesday dinner and other stuff defrosting for dinners.
Just my hair to dye now, which DH is whinging about.0 -
Glad you got a reasonably priced prom dress. One of those occasions that can spiral I'd imagine." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

* DD's Prom - 7th July
* Nephew & family over - 1st July - Done
* Need to order DD's uniform for secondary school - Done £76
* Buy DD's birthday presents for her birthday in August - Made a start on this one
* Gas and electric bills are due
* My car is booked in at the garage to have an error message looked at - 8th July
DD's presents I can buy with July's pay, so I'm not overly bothered too much about that one. The main ones are the uniform and the gas and electric bills.
So moving on to July.
Things have gone well for the past few months financially since we moved, neither of us knows why or how, so I'm trying not to dwell too much on it. Something is working
Things I need to do to keep us going:
* Meal plan - this is going good so far - Done for the month
* Keep an eye on the bank account daily - this is working
* Update spreadsheet regularly - not doing this much
* Limit to £10 pw allowance again - failed on this one this month
* Reduce alcohol during the week - not doing to bad but could be improved
* Lunches to work - need to improve on this one
* Reduce grocery spends - we spent far too much on this
* Avoid the pub - this is going well, just need to tweak it some more.
Personal things I want to achieve in July:
* Get decent sleep - work in progress
* Limit online time - this is creeping up and I need to back off a bit
* Read more - been neglecting this one
* Dye my hair - I look like a witch, especially with my Vitiligo! - Done, finally
* Spend more time with the kids - when they allow me :rotfl:
* Have some quality 'me' time
* Find a job closer to home - work in progress this one
Some fairly decent goals there I think and ones that I may hopefully be able to achieve. My thinking is that if I can get myself organised and happy, then everything else will fall in to place, at the moment I'm happy but not happier. A kind of personal LBM.
DD's uniform wasn't as bad as I'd hoped, so that's a good thing just need to buy her shorts when they get them back in stock.
Saw a Barbie doll reduced in Tesco as the packaging was damaged, so that's been squirrelled away for DD's birthday.
Finally dyed my hair yesterday too, so I look less scary now.0 -
Hi PMO2, glad the shopping trip went well great that she can use the dress again after the prom and good present find. After this week when I have more time I can plan ahead in regards to presents and dare I say Xmas!
Sounds like you have had a lovely weekend.
