  • long term goals are def something worth discussing with DH, then you both know where you want to be.

Glad the most of the negative stuff has been sorted, and that things have settled.

12 year olds are just practising for becoming a teenager  :rotfl::rotfl: lets hope he's pushing the boundaries and will be an :A come 13 :p I hope my kids aren't the 13 year old I was  :rotfl:

    Thanks HI.

Joke in this house is that DS hit the terrible twos at 18 months and hasn't grown out of it yet :rotfl:

Watched DIY SOS with the kids tonight and got into a conversation about why people do nice things, explained to DS that if he does something nice for someone no matter how small, it'll get rewarded. I said that the little things build up. I think it's something he's forgotten, don't think he took it all in but we'll see.

Panic moment...mufti day at school for DD tomorrow, then remembered that parents left some wine, DD can take that for the school fair on Saturday.

ETA - Payment moved over to cover payment that should come out over night.

My harder child as a teenager, has turned into wonderful thoughtful young adult, and believe me when I say he'd try the patience of a saint in his younger years. It will all come good again.
  • Morning,

Checked the bank account and the money that I thought I may not need to use that I transferred at the beginning of the month, well, I may need to. Not kicking myself as this money was there from the beginning of the month and I would've been suprised if we hadn't need to use it.

Pay day this time next week and then the whole cycle restarts, at least next month is a short month again.

Gas and electric bills are due in next month, hoping that it won't be too high, I'm so used to mega high bills at the old house (house was like a sieve!) that we used to pay the highest bill on the CC. This house is so the opposite...its properly insulated and soooo warm :) plus we haven't needed to use the drier as I've been hanging everything outside.

DD took the wine to school, she's helping out at the fair tomorrow on the glitter tattoo stand with some of the other Year 6's :) DS wants to go, so no doubt some money will get spent, aiming for not much though.

Told DH that I want to get a load in the washer tonight so that I can hang it out as early as possible and get the next load on, as we're up at DD's school, I'm aiming to get a few loads hung out and a load in the washer before we go.

Need to do a food shop, will double check the meal plan and see what we need and need some lunch bits for the kids/work.

DD has her school intervention day next Wednesday, so I'm working from home that day and DS has his birthday on Thursday (if he makes it that far! :rotfl: ) Four weeks and two days until the end of term.

Kind of lost my way this month, but not as bad as it could've been.

Hurry up July, need to make a fresh start!
  • Bad mum.

Finally got DS to open up, all via text as I was on the train, he does this, builds things up then it all comes to a head. Things will hopefully now be calm for a while.
  • Morning and happy Saturday :D

Busy day today, as we've DD's school fair today from mid-morning.

Two loads of washing have been hung outside with the next load in the washer. Kids need to change their beds today too.

Need to sort a shopping list out and check the meal plan.

Checked the bank account and nothing untoward has come out.

I need to sew DS's school trousers, why is it that when it comes to school trousers the first bit the goes when boys wear them, is the crotch?!? DD also wants me to sew the bag she made at Brownie camp as it has holes in it because she dragged it along the floor at Guides **rolls eyes**

There are the usual housework bits to do too.

Been invited out again with the ex-colleagues next Wednesday. DH went to a merger launch yesterday and two of them badgered their director saying I need to come back and they need me :rotfl::rotfl:

Was great fun, I won 4 bottles of wine. One is desert wine though, so that'll go back to the school for another fair lol
  • Morning,

    Yesterday was good but tiresome.

Spent a bit at the school fair and won four bottles of wine :D, went food shopping and then met up with one set of the neighbours at the pub, which was pre planned by both theirs and our boy lol

Washing was hung out and had a good airing, but had a quick 30 min spin in the TD as it rained

DH has realised that this past month we've managed to budget better.

Need to take DD to Tescos today to buy DS a birthday card and wrapping paper.

Need to get things organised for next week, busy old week a head.

    Things coming up in July:
DD has her Prom at her old school
Need to order DD's uniform for secondary school
Buy DD's birthday presents for her birthday in August
Nephew & family coming over next weekend
Gas and electric bills are due
My car is booked in at the garage to have an error message looked at

DH has some good commission coming in August, so we're thinking of using some of it to go away for a short break, we've not had a holiday in over four years and DH would like to use some of it. Some will come off the credit cards and the rest will be banked.
