You found your tree just in time! It would have been annoying to find in in Jan. When I was sorting through some of the junk I found a box that had a bunch of unopened makeup in it - things I always use and bought cheaply in Canada a couple of years ago and promptly forgot about. I'd rather have £7.35 and some stamps but all in all, it's pretty good to know that I won't need to buy any makeup for at least another year. Maybe longer. I don't wear much or any unless I'm playing somewhere, then I will make an effort to not scare away the audience!
That's a bit shocking about your phone bill. I keep getting spam texts that say "text STOP" to opt out but then they want to charge £2.95 for me texting them. It's so frustrating and just seems like robbery.
I hope you have a lovely time at your mums - is it just you and your son or is your DH going as well?:happylove0 -

I seem to recall Martin's advice on ordinary spam stuff that says text stop to opt out is to ignore - as as soon as you text back it confirms that it's a live number?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hi all - feeling a bit flat at the moment so will keep it brief. Think I'm just really tired. Have been battling with a bad cold all week and having to sleep sitting up for several nights so I don't cough through the night has worn me out!
It was just me and DS at my Mum's Thistle - can't remember the last time OH saw her to be honest. He is being 'one' at the moment and that isn't helping my mood unfortunately. I want to be all brand new for when I go back to work on Monday. I will be back at Mum's tomorrow anyway and then Sunday is my catch up day.
Going to have a few financial nightmares this month as I've just had to pay out nearly £200 from my wages for car insurance and internet protection. I daren't not buy the internet protection as I rely so heavily on the internet for my money making schemes and I really didn't want to take on another monthly payment so bit the bullet and just bought the insurance. £200 down though is not good news for the rest of the month but I am feeling positive I'll be ok. I think I just feel a bit over-whelmed by it at the moment.
Have found a really good group on fb about feeding yourself on £1 a day and some of the people on there really know how to stretch their food. I'm going to be joining them this month!
Anyway am off now - sorry for my short post. I keep getting texts from RBS that they have received my PPI claim. Stop texting and start paying!!! I'll be amazed if they do but I could do with it.

Big hugs Hun.
I'm also on that FB group, some of them amaze me.
Hope the PPI sorts itself soon x0 -
I'm in the fb group as well - small world!
Will you still have time to do the money making schemes on the internet once you start work?
I hope you are feeling better and a good rest sorts you out. I always feel more overwhelmed when I'm tired, try not to let it get you down.
I haven't replied to any of the texts EH, sounds like it was a lucky move. And I really hope you get your money back, Smolly. There really should be a law against that kind of thing.
I hope you have a lovely night x:happylove0 -
Hope yo are feeling better soon - its horrible not being able to lie down to sleep. I've just joined the group as well. So far there seems to be so many posts I have not been able to keep up with them.Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20220

If it's not too late Smolly take a look at Avast antivirus - there is a free option and it's always caught anything that's come our way.

Morning Smolly,
Hope you're feeling much better today? x0 -
Hi Guys, thank you all so much for your concern. Yes I am feeling much better Purple, Essex, Karonher and Thistle - thank you for asking xx
I had a funny old dream after I wrote my post last night and in that dream some very random woman asked me was I sure I was ok to return to work as my iron levels were still quite low!
Now I'm guessing I'm a little bit nervous about returning to work which is why I was feeling mostly so pants, but the iron thing is something to do with DS not me - and he has too much of it! So obviously lots of things playing on my mind but never has a dream been quite so easy to interpret. Anyway, I am fine to return to work and am looking forward to it. I have also had a letter off HR advising me that my pay will go down to half in a week's time so I'm glad my hand has not been forced and I made my own decision to return.
I think the key is going to be taking things steady and not doing anything which might cause a little too much stress - at least not for the time being. I've cancelled my counselling appointments because in the back of my mind I know I dislike the woman I'm seeing. I saw a really good friend of mine at the weekend - she's done a very basic course in counselling but moreover she is a very good listener and friend. Ok so she is about 2 hours away but a chat with her is far more therapeutic than seeing some random woman once a fortnight for 40 minutes who keeps telling me how soon our sessions will be finished.
I also cancelled my 'date' with my friend tomorrow. I know I should go but I really can't afford it after the car insurance. I would rather wait until a few more pennies float my way before I start organising social do's. To be honest I'm relieved - I really struggle with social events.
So I did a mini food shop this morning at one of my favourite discount places - H3r0n F00ds. I'm hoping that it will see us through the week which I'm sure it will. I've often thought about going to one of those discount meat places - we have a Cr@wsh@ws nearby and I'm sure they sell 5kg of chicken breasts for £20. Compared to supermarket prices that seems really reasonable but today at H3r0n I noticed a bag of frozen fillets 900g for £2.99 which works out much cheaper. I've bought a bag and will see what they're like. To be honest I don't want 5kg of chicken filling up my freezer and I haven't got £20 to spare but I could manage £2.99. I've also thought about buying a whole chicken and then doing what several people of £1 fb group do and make it last for a few meals. I never buy whole chickens - I think they're such a faff and always end up buying a crown and then just throwing the rest away. After we've tried these chicken breasts I will pop to Cr@wsh@ws and buy 2 of their chickens for £5.
All this talk of food is making me hungry!
No exciting post today - no PPI or phone refund! Just an insurance letter which has arrived very quickly considering I only sorted it yesterday.
Thistle - am hoping I will still have time to do some 3Bay and other bits and pieces such as mystery shopping when I do return to work. It feels like such a relief now that I'm not having to worry about finding over £700 a month just to repay my debts. This month however will be just about having money coming in and then allocating it to essential spends.
Mum asked me today what time I was off out with my friend tomorrow. I told her I was cancelling it because I'd just paid my insurance and it was only the beginning of the month. She offered to lend me the money for the insurance but I have declined. So she gave me £20 bless her which she refused to take back. I am going to put it away somewhere and see if I still have it at the end of the month. It will be my emergency £20!
I'm still going over suitable names for my new diary - I want the title to be much more positive.
Before I go I will share something funny with you - I was in the kitchen yesterday and slipped on something unpleasant on the floor. I was wearing plastic shoes (the ones called alligators...) so they're not the most safest of shoes to be wearing when you lose your balance. I had slipped in dog pee. I went straight down flat on my face twisting my leg as I went. The dog thought it was fab as I was at his level and proceeded to try and eat me. My DS was mortified his mum was on the floor and tried to pick me up and the OH was peeved he had to clean up the offending item and just left me there! My life is a comedy at times.
In my next post I will try and share a story that DS wrote about me (if he has saved it and I can find it). It sums me up.
Take care all. If I could take my alcohol I would love to get plastered tonight but I'm afraid a half glass of wine will send me into a stupor so I will make do with fizzy pop instead :rotfl:xxLBM Jul 16 £26,823.83, Nov 16 £27,961.98, Dec 16 £26,977.66, Jan 17 £26,884.76

Hi all and happy Sunday!
So it's not quite 10am yet and so far I've washed up twice, cooked breakfast, done two loads of washing with a third to go in now, tidied up after the dog who had all his toys out, and cleaned DS's school shoes ready for tomorrow. I'm now going to tackle a mountain of ironing.
This afternoon I want to list a few bits on 3Bay so that they finish next Sunday night, which is in my humble opinion is a very good night for 3Bay listings to end - always seems much more popular than any other night. I also want to catch up on any Panelbase surveys as they are a good source of extra income and every little helps.
I've just cancelled a mystery shop for tonight as it was one of those where I need to pay in advance and only receive back a proportion of what I paid, so that's no use to me. I've checked and there's nothing else worth doing at the moment.
So I'll leave it there for now - go and sort my washing and ironing out and come back later hopefully xxLBM Jul 16 £26,823.83, Nov 16 £27,961.98, Dec 16 £26,977.66, Jan 17 £26,884.76
