steering wheel has been replaced, was a bit of a battle, Seat area manager agreed it should be replaced but still couldnt get Seat to agree to a warranty replacement even though they are aware of other steering wheels going the same way. eventually agreed to a goodwill replacement
  • treat the new one with Gliptone leather conditioner, its the best - and it keeps the car smelling of new car / fresh leather smell. It really is the best leather care stuff on the planet. Have to keep mine hidden or wife would pinch it for the sofa's like the (not as good) autoglym stuff I previously used. well done on getting it changed.

Thanks for keeping us informed. I wish all OP's would do that.

True, but most OPs haven't been forum members for 13 years and posted almost 12,000 times, so I think photome is a bit more aware of good etiquette than a newbie might be.

I'm a big fan of Gliptone as well. Leaves the car spelling wonderful.
