Morning everyone,

High grey cloud here, hope the sun puts in an appearance at some point, it's certainly cooler.

Yesterday was reasonably productive, blooming hedge blokes didn't turn up but have promised to come first thing this morning. All other chores were done though, ordered a stock shop to be delivered early next week so will just need a few fresh bits this morning. I did go into Cbridge in the pm for the much needed hair cut, popped into D@nelm and picked up a wooden bath tidy which intend to paint same colour as new bathroom walls, looked for pictures etc but nothing caught my eye. It's the big car boot in the village on Sunday so might bike up there and take a look.
Cafekate, your break sounds wonderful, enjoy :)
Have a good day everyone, take care folks x

Just popping back in to say think your instincts were bang on JACKIE, no way should DGS Jack be shifting heavy objects like that if it's hurting his back. Surely it is two man job and would have been darn sight quicker if the boss man had helped?
Have you or your DD got any elderly neighbours etc who would appreciate a bit of help around the garden etc, am sure they wouldn't mind paying for grass to be cut etc, just a thought?
X
• Jackie, you were spot on, he shouldn't be moving heavy things if he was experiencing pain.

If Jack lived near to us I would gladly pay him to help Himself in the garden, mowing the lawns.

What a lovely boy, he is much too young to be unhappy at work.

Morning all
I went to fill my car with petrol yesterday and had a run in the cashier as all 3 of my cards were declined, not when I put my pin in but when I put the card in the reader, I had enough cash to pay with but the cashiers attitude left a lot to be desired, still I got my own back, lol.

More housework today as we have visitors staying tonight, I've already made up the beds so it won't take long.

I also need to sort out my freezer as I stocked up at the butchers yesterday and threw everything in willynilly as I was running out of time.

Have a good day everyone.

Chin up, Titus out.
• Morning, ((((((((((hugs))))))))))if you need one. OH still in hospital, I think they may keep him in over the weekend. It's a pain travelling for me, but I do not want him here and collapsing all over the place.

I am off to my quilting friend this morning, will call and see OH on the way back, so should have the evening here.

Washing machine on when I got back, so will stick it out and cross fingers for no rain whilst I am out.
• Just popping back on to back JACKIE up. The poor lad just wants to earn some pocket money, no need for being being treat in such a manner. It harks back to child slave labour and those times are long gone. Let the shopkeeper move his own heavy machines and do his own back in and see how he likes it! I'm another who would pay him to do some gardening for us if we lived nearer. x

JackieO how old is DGS Jack? It may be worth contacting the child employment team at your local council as that isn't the sort of work a youngster should be doing.

Good morning all,

Lazy one yesterday after work; went to the gym for an hour or so then stopped at the SM and home for chorizo burgers.

Today in work should be busy, the day before a big event always is. Afterwards, I'm going to a cabaret night with my GF's family. I think it was a Groupon thing and you get a steak dinner and drink for £25.

I've a phone call to take today at 12noon about a job I applied for. Well, I say applied for, they approached me. But I'd like to get it so my fingers are crossed.

Gers - I'm 100% with you on the poached egg thing. I now tend to microwave scramble them. Much simpler.
AoD - Thanks for the recipe
IslandMaid - Chocolate gets my vote.
Jackie - Jack sounds like a lovely and hard working lad. I'm sure he'll get another job soon.
csarina - Hope OH improves over the weekend.

Morning :hello:

Scampi had a fab time yesterday morning, him and Milo ran, played and wrestled for two hours. He slept all afternoon then was great on his evening walk. I'm tempted to ask if I can borrow Milo for two hours every morning, my days would be much easier :D

We were supposed to be going to look at chickens today, I intended to come home with at least four new ladies :D Mr tru has an appointment at 11am and has said he wants to make a load of chilli sauces this afternoon. We can still go for chickens but it'll be a rush and I like to take my time, chat to M about the girls, etc. So it'll have to wait for now.

My plan is to get two loads of washing on the lines, go for a long walk, de-fur the sofas and vacuum downstairs. Pizza for lunch then hopefully Scampi will sleep while mr tru does his chilli stuff and I read all afternoon.

Morning all

Wet and miserable again here today.

OH's kids are here (SS 12 and SD 7) with me today as OH is in work. Currently they are entertaining themselves on the playstation. Later on we are going for a walk or to the park if the rain stops/slows, need to pop to the shops and then I'm taking them out for lunch. Probably going to Pizza Hut for the buffet, not exactly money saving but it's probably the last time I'll get one to one time with them before the baby comes so want to spoil them a bit. They are super excited and impatient now for baby to come :) . After lunch I'm dropping them to MIL's where they will stay the night.

Not sure what me and OH are going to do tonight, I'm struggling a bit now I'm so massive but want to get as much quality time together as possible.

OS wise - WM is on, most will have to go in TD apart from the stuff that I know will dry on the airer. DW will go on overnight tonight. Downstairs could do with a hoover.

Have a good day all x
