hello stranger, nice to see you. sorry to hear you haven't been well. Hope your health is better.

Some changes in the year you haven't been on the thread, so probably worth a read through some of the old threads, although some sites and apps have stopped for various reasons.

well done CBC. I sold one item and the money isn't mine lol. I bought DS some books, he is into beastquest and we got them for a song on ebay. So he already has the first series bought foolishly from waterstones with his Grandparent's gift money. We got about 3 series for the price of 1 book off ebay! Mind if you wanted the collectors cards, they were missing from every book off ebay!

Anyhow sold one series from the ones we bought and made £3.88 after all the fees :) not bad considering we paid £4.20 +postage for 3 series.... So he is going to put this money towards series 4....

and why dont you get a digital camera with the bonus money from ebay?

nectar have something on their site about a surprise coming from ebay linked accounts on 2 September....

worth a look if you have a nectar account.

Well done on your astute eBaying. It's always nice to buy something that you can sell on again for a profit:T. I expect DS will be back at school soon, it seems ages since you first told us about the arrangements you were having to make for him during the holidays. I hope he's had a lovely break and that you've been able to spend time to have fun with him :j

Great idea about the bonus money, especially if the offer entails spending £30 to get the £10 off as you mentioned before. I've seen a few reasonable used cameras around the £30 mark:T

I'll look forward to the Nectar surprise:j

hello stranger, nice to see you. sorry to hear you haven't been well. Hope your health is better.

Hi Thanks. Sadly my health has got worse and now I have heart issues to add to the pile. Dr took my driving licence off me yesterday so I now need to budget for taxis... Living rurally a taxi to nearest town is approx £25 each way and my hospital appointments are all approx 45 minutes away... I am hoping to get a free county bus pass and use patient transport... so long as I get back for school runs all should be ok... Talk about add to the stress! Our family and pet food bill is having to drop from £150 to £50 a week. Plus having not worked due to health for over ten years having no income is starting to suck! No benefit entitlements so I rely fully on my husband... Who is getting a bit fed up of having no savings!

So I am glad to be back and about to get serious!!! Fingers crossed

I love this forum and have missed it x

I seem to have an unexpected "student account refund" payment appear in my account. Am on holiday atm so don't know if anything has come through the post about this but I haven't had a student account for years and haven't applied for anything of the sort so if there's no post about it I suppose I better pop in my branch. So possibly "yay, surprise £150" but I'm going to make sure it's actually for me before I add it!
See posting under blog on right hand side of page - this maybe something to do with that? HTH

For a "not-really-trying" month I seem to be doing ok.

Aesop has your whaff gone down to 0.10 from 0.20? Mine seems to have done.
