Lovely news about your sales on the bay CBC - may it spawn many more of the same ilk :j
I'm still looking around scrabbling to make my target - just two days left to go. Oh well - fingers xd something turns up
Hope you all have a great Tuesday
Lx
Thanks, Lynne:)
I'm still scrabbling too;). Just 2 days left and £2.78 short of target. No worries if I don't make it but would be nice to find that last little bit. No money expected during that time so will be going around with my eyes focussed on the ground searching for road-kill:rotfl:
Good Luck to everyone for the final push:beer:0 -
Hi all!
I have managed to make another 98.97 from Music Magpie, so I'm beyond pleased with everything I've managed to raise this month.
Going to do another car boot this week, maybe two, and upload some more resources to see how they sell.
Congratulations on a very successful month:T. Here's to many more of them:beer:
I'm really pleased that you'll be doing more car boots:j. I'm a dedicated fan of them (you'd never guess that from my username would you?:rotfl:) so it's lovely to meet a convert:)0 -
Well tomorrow I'm going to put in that extra bit of effort to say thank you and I'll hopefully comeback with an even greater total than last time. Think I will be doing them every half term, while I am off work, just to top up the pennies. Once everything has gone then I'll just stick to bargain hunting at them0

I've managed to smash this month with £561.51! This is thanks to delayed flight compensation giving me £209.63 for sitting in an airport and reading my book for three hours, and my mystery refund that did turn out to be from a NatWest Student Account.#13 Make 2023 in 2023 - £2085.20/£2023#23 Save £8k in 2023 - £6642.66/£80000

I've got a bit of a dilemma, although quite a nice one:j, and wonder what anyone else would do.
A couple of months ago I sold a book on Amazon (quite an expensive one) and the buyer said it never arrived. I wanted to safeguard my 100% feedback and gave him a full refund. I claimed and received compensation for loss from Royal Mail.
I've just had an email from the buyer saying the book has turned up (was placed by postman in his shed as he wasn't in and he's only just found it:eek:. It's one of the first places I'd have looked for it if I'd been him but it takes all sorts)
He wants to reimburse me (what an honest man:T) and wants to know what form of payment I would like. I would like Paypal actually and can't see any problem with it.
But I feel bad because I've already had the money for its loss from Royal Mail. Should I just accept both payments and keep quiet or what? I feel like I'm defrauding the Royal Mail:o0 -

Interesting situation carboot. I can understand you feeling iffy about it. I'd be the same. I guess there are really only 4 options - varying degrees of conscience required:
1. Take the refund (which is in fact the payment you are rightly due) but contact Royal Mail and ask offer to refund their reimbursement. Thus making everything as it should be.
2. Don't contact RM, but offer to split the cost with buyer and only allow him to pay you half the original price.
3. Contact RM and offer to refund their reimbursement, but if they say tell you to keep it, still split the difference with the buyer.
4. Take the money and run.
I have to say, I think the buyer should be paying someone, even if it is only half price as they have, after all, still received a perfectly good item and caused more effort for both you and RM than was necessary!
As to which option you take, judgement does not live here :rotfl:£10 a day 2017 - APR £60.12 / MAR £82.24 / FEB £142.82 / JAN £241.240 -
Surfchik, you're an absolute star for that sensible and comprehensive series of options. I really appreciate you taking the time and trouble to post:A
I'll have to think about it some more. It's quite a nice situation to be in though;)0 -

Ha ha, no worries, there are definitely worse things in life! I forgot to say there is always the bonus option though - strike a deal with the universe and karma!! i.e. take the money, but agree that the next time you are in need of a RM refund (posting as much as we do, it's probably inevitable at some point!), you won't claim for it. The universe is quite capable of deciding whether or not you are deserving of the extra payment£10 a day 2017 - APR £60.12 / MAR £82.24 / FEB £142.82 / JAN £241.240 -
So totals wise, I'm up to £62.49 this month.
£25 Swags
£9.54 Topcashback
£24.50 saving on 10 x swims at my local pool by getting a groupon deal.
£3.45 saved on my other half going for a swim when the till broke and they let us in for free!!
Not startling amounts but I'm really enjoying taking a break from it all to be honest. Plus most of my income came from selling stuff, which until the colder weather comes, there isn't really anything else left to sell! I still like lurking though. Its nice to see others doing so well and you never know when the ideal idea or method of earning will come up for you. Good luck for the final day everyone!£10 a day 2017 - APR £60.12 / MAR £82.24 / FEB £142.82 / JAN £241.240 -
I wasn't really keeping track other than on a spreadsheet I seldom looked at but just checked and have made a not too bad £147.86 this month. I feel ready to take on September now, this is very promising.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020
