Plus side - it was all cheap stuff, so Tonnes more room in the car on the way back!
Well done for going:beer:. The weather put me off today, I'm strictly a fair-weather booter:o. The fierce wind is worse than the intermittent rain we've had today. I hate my stuff getting blown all over a muddy field:eek:.
Looking on the bright side you cleared a lot of cheap stuff and are financially better off than you were yesterday. Win-win:j0 -
Hey everyone, hope you are all well. :hello:
I'm not doing very well this month I'm afraid with my money making. Finding it hard to get motivated at the minute:mad:.
Anyway have another £27.65 to add - £3.20 from cash4clothes and £24.45 from fleabay. Will defintely get more listed on fleabay and gumtree over the next couple of days and will definitely be carbooting next weekend so hopefully total will grow a little more at elast before the end of the month.Save £25,000 in 2025: #45-£524.15/25, 000

It was mainly books and puzzles, so wind wasn't too bad, but rains always a huge pain in the 'bum'
Its main loads of space, and we had a good clear out at the same time. :cool:Missing my money saving mojo.

Did my weekly shop in Asda last night, regretted it as it wasn't stocked correctly, I didn't know where anything was, and all the offers where on junk food. Won't be going back, but just remembered to do the price guarantee thing on the receipt and it came back with a voucher for £2.76

CBC I know you despise of the bay but used well worn shoes sell well to people wit shoe fetishism. ...
I remember a few years ago nat2luv used to successfully sell hers.
Yep - I've done/do it too. It's not for the sensitive, but if you can have a sense of humour/disengage/just not be offended, then there is some good money to be made. Just stay safe (DONT say yes to collections!) and be prepared for the 'emails' you will receive during listing periods. Don't feel you have to reply, but it helps if you do. I generally find 'foot' people to be quite polite and pleasant though :rotfl:

Wow! Just caught up after a week offline. OH came down with a violent sickness bug on Tues. We thought it was food poisoning until it took me out Wednesday night too. Been a loooooong week with the little ones and the out-laws unfortunately away at the same time too. Thankfully, the nippers didn't come down with it too!! Small mercies, hey!?
Really need a boot up my bum at the moment. Theres a lot going on here at the moment anyway, but since selling virtually all our stuff, I'm very unmotivated and generally frazzled navigating the 'terrible 2's'. Hats off to all those that do it so gracefully!!! So, being more of a lurker than a participant at the moment, but I did cash in some topcashback last week and used a few vouchers, so theres about £15 in my pot for the month and I'm happy with that!
Very impressed with some of the amounts coming up from others though! Good show everyone:T£10 a day 2017 - APR £60.12 / MAR £82.24 / FEB £142.82 / JAN £241.240 -

Hi everyone - lovely reading everyone's updates and also embarrassing because I have done so little
.
I have raised a grand total of 37p so far from an Asda voucher :rotfl:.
However, I have done some overtime this month, which is very rare to come by where I work. I won't get this money until at least September so I'm not counting it for August. I will obviously have to declare August to be a dismal failure but in fairness, I spent a lot of my spare time doing overtime.
I will join again in September and try much harder.
Meanwhile thanks to everyone for your inspiration and ideas :T.0 -

be ruthless! keep the mantra..... have I worn it/used it/read it/etc in the last 6 months and will I be reading/wearing/using it in the next 6 months? if the answer is no have boxes/bags ready. mark them ebay/car boot / selling /recycling/ charity shop.
then go for it. once you have your appropriate bag/boxes filled, take them out of that room so you are not tempted to go back in again for that item....
charity take straight down to charity shop or charity recycling. once it's out of the house it's gone.
recycling get on the relevant sites get your price and get labels printed/sent. package stuff up for posting. it's gone when you have labels.
then sit down and try to list 5 items on eaby/anazon/Facebook selling page etc and do the same next day. I find breaking it up in chunks helps.
then keep going back and admiring your lovely clean decluttered wardrobe and show everyone that comes to.the house and who lives in the house. this is a reminder of how you want it to stay.
then ignore the pile for carbooot/ebay until.the appropriate time to list /go car boot etc.
did it to DS today. made him empty a box of books in his room I know for a fact he doesn't read anymore and won't. I will check where best to sell them.
I do say money made from selling his books he can have for his new books which we buy cheaply of amazon. he is happy with that
hope this helps a little.0 -
