carbootcrazy, any top tips because I think I might take advantage of the weather and have a go at a car boot. Thinking about what I have to sell, it's mainly clothing, make up/toiletries and teaching resources/revision books that Ziffit won't accept right now - do these things tend to sell? I've also got a flat packed coffee table that's still sealed in the box (I used to have some great money wasting ideas!).

That's fine to count them as you've bothered to save them up and use them for stuff you were going to buy anyway. Bit like vouchers or MOCs.

    Thanks, Lynne:T.

I was surprised how many points I'd stockpiled, I barely ever shop at Boots:eek:. I think a lot of them must be from when OH asked me to get an electric toothbrush for him (at least he paid me back when I got home;)) and when I bought my hairdryer and electric curler thingy when they had an offer on.

So I am finally off the starting blocks with my money making for this month :)

£20 for taking my old Gameboy stuff to a local retro game shop. That's exactly what I was hoping for so I am very happy.

Also have a £5 Shopprize amazon voucher.

  • What a great thread! I'm always checking the additional income pages for ways to make money but this really gives you the incentive to do something about it. I've just signed up for Geotask and Ashleigh's Daily prize draw just from reading Aesop's posts, and I'm going to check out the voxpopme app as that sounds promising.
I'm a bit late to the challenge but I'll aim at £5 a day, if I can do that I'll be well chuffed:)

    Hi all. Quick Q?

Does switching energy supplier count? If I've saved £300 p/y do I divide it by 12 and add it to my monthly total or does that not count?

Well done - canny switch :money:

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I seem to remember (somewhere in the grey fuzz of brain cells)* that Aesop said divide by 12 and just count the first month of reduced payments towards your target. Someone else may remember more clearly :)

*No problem with my memory, though it is getting pretty full - it's just the retrieval system that's getting a bit faulty :rotfl:

Finally made some money this morning - we're moving house this week and it's been a teensy bit chaotic!

Listed a treadmill on gumtree and sold that this morning for £50, plus a tiny bit of matched betting has netted me £2.76 (every little helps).

We are shifting a load of stuff into my Mum's garage tomorrow that is too good to dump but we don't need any more (rocking horse, camping stuff etc), so all of that will be getting sold asap once we've moved.
Making £1,000 plus every month from home :T
