Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine.

    Chez

Well, I thought I was but managed to miss the bit at the back of my neck/top of shoulders when I put the sunblock on first thing:o. The sun was behind me for several hours when I was car booting and I'm really burning now I'm home. It's the first summer for decades that I've had short hair, so it's the first time that skin has been exposed to the sun. That'll teach me;)

Well done everyone for your brilliant money making:beer:. Loads made so far by lots of people and still only a week gone:j
  • Had a good car boot sale, apart from the sunburn I mentioned in the previous post.

Made £179 in total but a lot of that is OH's as I relented and mainly sold his stuff. Bits and pieces for car and garden machinery repairs (looked rusty and past it to me but someone wanted them), part tins of paint:eek:, that sort of thing. I even sold a small and pretty tatty rabbit hutch that he unearthed from the shed. Goodness knows where he got that from (or why:rotfl:) as we've never owned a rabbit!

My own total today was £63 and all things considered I was pleased with that.

    Have a good week everyone:beer:
  • Well done CBC!! You amaze me with your car boot sales!

Nothing more to report for me. Enjoying this lovely weather and going to a music festival for a few hours later. :D

    August recap:
    Art Commission deposit £20
    Supper Club deposits £20
    Supper Club profit £10
    Quidco cashout £2.78
    Shopetize cashout £5.60
Tesco vouchers £6 (they count, right?) Up to £64.38

Finally got round to checking out my tesco clubcard points online. I have £37 worth of vouchers in my account. Now that they no longer do boosts, I'm guessing we'll just use them for meals out.

I also have 495 Eon points - 5 points away from a £5 Bonusbond voucher which I'll be able to cash out shortly after the 16th (bill day). Plus, I updated the meter readings and we're £1.81 in credit. :D
Hoping to add those to my total by 31st.

  • £1.07 from Qmee ...and that's it for today*

*Actually, that's not all. I found an old Next voucher that I thought was used up however before putting it in the bin I checked and it had £3 left on it. I'm not sure I can count that though as it mine already?

    Evening all

Pleased to see our super team doing so well   so early in the month, especially considering the pull of the sunshine (for some) and the Olympics (for others) :rotfl:

Well done on your 'car-booting' CBC :T and pleased the weather held for you. It's amazing what people will buy eh ;) Soo sorry to hear about the sunburn - aloe vera or calamine lotions are very good at easing the soreness and cooling the skin.

As far as I'm aware it's perfectly okay to add vouchers saved or earned to your monthly total. If you've been saving them up until claiming then that's fine. I'm sure our eagle-eyed Aesop will correct me if I'm wrong :D

I've made the grand total of £2.75 on weekly scans and a baby survey - though we did have our second MS lunch today, which I'll add when paid later in the month.

Hope you all have a marvellous Monday

    Morning,

A few of my items on Ebay sold yesterday, so that's another £18.50 to add to the pot. Listed a few more tings and put some more bits on Gumtree. Got the change to cash in yet and I need to check the balance on a gift card that I found while I was clearing out yesterday. Thinking of doing a car boot myself now, I'm just not sure whether I have enough 'stuff' and whether what I have will actually sell.

Well done on the eBay sales:T. I must bite the bullet and get some small, easy-to-post items listed. I just hate eBay these days:o. I've loads of old postcards to list, mainly individually but some of the less interesting ones in bundles. It's very time-consuming so I think it's more a job for the long, dark winter evenings;). Any excuse, eh?

As for the car boot that you mentioned I'd urge you to have a go. You'll be surprised what sells and shocked that what you thought would go straight away just doesn't. A lot like eBay really;). I always take a lot more than I could possibly sell at one car boot sale, every nook and cranny of the car is filled with stuff. It's often the doubtful, 'this will never sell' type of stuff that I nearly left at home that goes first:eek:

Another question for Lynne or Aesop. Sorry if this kind of thing has been asked and covered before but it's a new situation to me:o

Went into Boots today and bought £10.35 worth of various essentials which I paid for completely with my accrued Boots points. So, free to me:j:j:j. I haven't already counted the Boots points whilst they were mounting up so wonder if it's legit to claim the £10.35 now. I still have £4.50ish in points still to spend too:j.

    Thanks:)

That's fine to count them as you've bothered to save them up and use them for stuff you were going to buy anyway. Bit like vouchers or MOCs.
