Nope, you are right, I miss read the phrase.0 -

If you can't cope (as a couple/family, not alone) with your own housework, your house is too big for your needs.
Thats a bit harsh, I have "staff" in the form of my cleaner because I simply don't enjoy it. Many other people I know also have cleaners and the like and we are far from chavs. There are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.0 -
I would still bake and cook, because I enjoy doing that.
I'd like a house that has enough space so the kids won't have to share bedrooms and I could have my own work room for writing and crafting.
A decent car that will hold all of us at the same time would be handy.
I think I'd keep a lot of animals. Goats, chickens, ducks, horse, that sort of thing. maybe start a sanctuary for old and discarded animals.
'The one thing I would drop like a stone is the house cleaning!!
If I had the money, I would hire someone to do the cleaning and the washing/ironing in a heartbeat!!0 -

I agree with Chika, that is a bit harsh, I'd need a housekeeper because I'd have a busier lifestyle and household chores would become less important to me. Also, you are giving a salary for this. I'd pay well for the type of job and the extra freedom it gives me.0 -
I would still do all my own cleaning and decorating.Never get the same results when someone else does it.
I'd still cook as I love cooking.
I'd still look for bargains as I hate wasting money.
I have everything I want now, including the house I've always wanted so I would'nt move.
The one thing having £5m would do for me is simply just to give me peace of mind.I would know I did'nt have to worry for me or my daughters and their families. That would be the best thing about it.0 -
I would no longer compromise on good quality meat.
Infact, I would have pigs and chickens. To have pigs is a massive dream of mine.
I agree with others about the cleaning, I would hire a cleaner. I am forever cleaning, washing, tidying etc. I would much rather spend my time with my 2 daughters. Also like wigglebeena I would like more time to read!
I'd still budget with anything I buy and look out for offers.Debt free wannabe
Littlewoods - £214.82 (DD set up so 0%)
Very - £100 (0% on BNPL - 1/4/13)

I'd get my car resprayed and get it deep cleaned inside. I would get the middle row of seats fixed so that they can turn around.
I would join the bank at work and give up my contract job. Then I would only work weekday early shifts. Maybe one or 2 a week.
I would get someone in to finish off the house and then get our new bed- a kingsize squishy one that you have to climb into. I dont think I would want to move yet as I like my neighbours and my house. The kids are local to their schools too.
I don't know if DH would want to give up work or not. I think he would want to buy the company from his boss cause he's always moaning about how disorganized his boss is and says work is much easier when the boss isn't there.
I would take the kids to a fancy restaurant that they keep asking to go to.
I would like another baby or two but wouldnt want the kids to think that it was really unfair that they had such a hard time when they were littlies and their siblings were getting it all.
Would go on holiday to france to the same places we went this year but 2 weeks in each place and would split the journey up over a longer time.
I would never work another Christmas day again.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
I think if I won £5 million on the lottery I would
make sure my family was ok. So that would probably be a house for my mum and sister, and money for my dad and grandparents to make sure they didnt struggle.
Money in an account for my son, and some aside for my step son and two nieces.
Buy a nice farm house, with land for animals (pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, 2 x highland cow and a donkey and horse and a few dogs running about).
The other money- I dont know really - would probably treat myself but im so use to being without treats etc that i dont know what id buy. Id have another baby though thats for sure.Time to find me again0 -
i would buy a big house, with land to grow veg. have my mum come and live with me, take my two beautiful sons on a lovely holiday
donate to charities to do with special needs kids (my 2 are sn) also donate to my sons school and previous school, so they could benefit in some way.
i would see to my close family and friends, make sure they had no depts
also put some away for my sons when they are older xxx:xmastree::xmassign::rudolf::xmastree:0 -
I don't think I would change a lot about my life I am a bit of a saddo I am quite happy as it is . I would give most of it to my two daughters as they have families to bring up. I own my own home so I wouldn't change that ,I own my own car so that neither .My holiday this year is booked and paid for so thats o.k. My cupboards have food in them and I have some money in the bank, enough for my needs I can't honestly think of anything that I could say 'Oh I'd love to own that.maybe its an age thing as most of what I wanted in my life I have already had . I had two wonderful daughters and from them seven smashing grandkids.I had a terrific husband, who sadly is no longer here.
No I am quite happy with my lot, probably why I can never be bothered to do the lottery as I have so few wants in my life
Sounds boring I know but I really am satified with what I have now0
