so this is the question do i use is or not ???? do you think i'll get into trouble if i use the points off the old one then chuck it (it would really help to buy xmas prezzies!)
and still keep the new one with £92odd points on
Personally, I would contact Boots CS to let them know. You never know, they might offer goodwill gesture for being honest. Even if they don't, at least I would sleep easy at night. :A
As a general note not aimed at jimsmum, but a thought to consider - if you were walking behind someone in the street and saw them accidentally drop substantial amount of money, would you keep it or give it back?? I know this is Boots, but principle is the same....0 -

A very good point, and worth considering visa-versa aswell.0 -
As usual, nothing from ACM for me. However, bought 2 Botanics Lavender trio Aromatherapy sets for £5.00 each although sticker said £9.00 and got 2 sets of wipes free. The essential oil in the trio set is £3.99 if bought separately. Set also includes 50ml lavender body spray and 50ml lavender cooling gel. Comes in a lavender coloured organza type bag.
Also got 6 of the bogof cameras.:j0 -
Can you tell me exactly which cameras these are?
I tried to have a look today but didn't really know what I was looking for0 -
oooh hope i find some BOGOF cameras - can confirm that the underwater pics are really clear for a disposable underwater camera!! i was very happy with them!
Anic they are Kodak underwater cameras I believe

you are such a split decision lot aren't you :rotfl: :rotfl:
it doesn't make it easier you know,:D
as for if i was walkin down the road and the person in front of me dropped a load of cash would i give it back??? yes everytime unless it was 1 certain person(DS Father) Then no i wouldn't!
but saying that i think this is different in the way that the products i would buy would be from boots so the money would be going back to boots!
but then again its immoral so im still unsure
bet boots HO are reading this and cancelling it as we speak :rotfl:
Somebody once used my card (left it in the acm  was too excited over the vouchers i'd printed:rotfl: ) and spent the whole lot,was only £20 odd but it still hurtsuppose i'd be just as bad spending these points.

I'm so horribly honest that even if there were no traffic wardens left in the world I still wouldn't park on a double yellow line, even after midnight on a bank holiday.
However, I do feel that if I am dealing with a 'big corporate' and it is their mistake (ie, their systems aren't doing the job they should) it is their problem not mine (like a 3 for 2 going through when it really shouldn't). I'd see this as a glitch since the systems should catch a cancelled card - for goodness sake I lost my card recently and wouldn't like to think the system wasn't capturing someone cashing in the points! These companies are making an enormous amount of money and, however responsible they claim to be, don't care in the least about us! It isn't like stealing bread from the mouths of the starving. It is prid pro quo for all the times you've had to endure public humiliation from a SA, or got home and found you were overcharged, or the product was inferior, or whatever.
At the risk of getting eaten alive, I think the reactions of some of the people whose hobby it is to find and take advantage of every glitch in the system to make money from Boots is a bit much! I can't imagine the Fraud Squad are going to turn up on your doorstep. If you're worried about your mortal soul, split the difference with a charity box.
PS On a different subject, I know there are some Blackpoolers around here and I'd appreciate it if they would share their knowledge with me on the local board! Assuming they are speaking to me after this post!0 -
hello:hello:
right remember last week when i said i'd sent away for a new card as mine was getting old and the man cacelled the old one and i wouldn't be able to use it again but i forgot and used £15 worth of points leaving £78 odd on it.
well got my new one this morn, popped to boots and the full £92 odd is still on it  but i can still use my old one with th £78odd on it too!
so this is the question do i use is or not ???? do you think i'll get into trouble if i use the points off the old one then chuck it (it would really help to buy xmas prezzies!)

Not sure the till will accept your old card - even though the ACM does.
We had the same thing with OH's card - My DD was playing with my purse (of course my OH doesn't actually get to use his own card!!!) & mislaid OH's card. we rang CS & got a new one sent out & in the meantime the original card reappeared.
Next time I tried to spend the points (only £7+) I couldn't remember which was the correct card. We tried both at the till & the old one was declined.
I've kept it though as it still helps with ACM offers, but cannot spend the points supposedly on there.
