Same happened to me when I lost my purse. My first instinct was to cancel my bank cards and my advantage card. Some lovely old dear handed my purse into the police after I had cancelled my card and Boots sent me another one out. I kept the old one in my purse for some reason and used it before my new one came through and found it was still working. Completely by accident one day when doing mulitple purchases for some glitch I noticed my reciepts showed different amounts of points. I asked a cashier to check which one was active as one should have been cancelled, she said that they were both active. I really mulled over this one for a few days and just when I thought I would cut it up most of the people I asked for their opinions (friends and sisters) said spend it quick!!!!! We sound like a right dishonest bunch don't we!!! The theory behind this was that where do you draw the line on a glitch???? Surely getting 6 x no7 suncreams for the price of 1 is not completey honourable if we are doing it on purpose. Same goes for using multiple coupons when they say only one per transaction With this in mind and the fact that I learnt just how much money Boots profit from us I spent it pretty quick on things for my baby!!!!

I have had no come-backs and have had no probs with my new card. Plus, I haven't had any sleepless nights over it either!!!! And... I don't think any dead rellies are tutting at me Maybe it's a Boot's secret santa trying to help you out for Christmas

You were so lucky. I have tried twice. But SAs refused to do for me. :mad: They said you might have to spend on the cosmetic items. Shop was busy today. So didn't argue. I got 2 that I might not be able to use them (can't go there tomorrow).

As a general note not aimed at jimsmum, but a thought to consider - if you were walking behind someone in the street and saw them accidentally drop substantial amount of money, would you keep it or give it back?? I know this is Boots, but principle is the same....

I agree too. I would call CS for this too.

Can anyone confirm before i go out this morning if the reduced bogof cameras are the kodak or boots ones as i thought they were boots but not sure? thanks - sorted now i think.

I got the free wipes with the body bar and used a £1 off any botanics bathing product voucher from the new parenting booklet. So i got the wipes and body bar for a quid:D

Went to Boots at Fakenham yesterday and boot Loreal elvive shampoo 250ml for 58p. and Mark Hill conditioner for Blondes for 1.38.
Over heard some workman talking about how long the refit will take so i guess they may be selling off some stock.

I got the Boots brand ones, didn't see any Kodak ones. They are blue and silver cameras in see thru packaging

right remember last week when i said i'd sent away for a new card as mine was getting old and the man cacelled the old one and i wouldn't be able to use it again but i forgot and used £15 worth of points leaving £78 odd on it.
well got my new one this morn, popped to boots and the full £92 odd is still on it :eek: but i can still use my old one with th £78odd on it too!
so this is the question do i use is or not ???? do you think i'll get into trouble if i use the points off the old one then chuck it (it would really help to buy xmas prezzies!)
and still keep the new one with £92odd points on

it might be that the acm machine is reading the point total off the card chip on the card and does not connect to the online system
but if u tried to use it in the reader at the till to spend those points that would connect to the main system and regiser the fact that the card had now been cancled and would not be able to use it now anyway.

personally id just be happy that i got the £15 and leave it at that the chances are very slim that the police would be involved but just think about the consequences should it happen that the police are involved how would ur family feel .

but the card isn't cancelled as i forgot i'd sent for a new one and spent some points on 3 for 2 the other day (before the new one came yesterday) and it worked fine.
