  • I got the shave gel yesterday (£3.00) - used £2.00 voucher from sandwich, 100 point from mag + free wipes!

Went downstairs and put points towards 342 reduced eyeshadows from no7 - lovely colours - comet, jewel and another whose name I can't remember.......

Woo, found a bargain in my, frankly, tiny Boots.

Disposable, waterproof cameras, reduced from £8.99 to £2.25 and still on BOGOF.

So for the princely sum of £9, I managed to buy 8 cameras. Great for my childs birthday party for all the kids to play around with :T
I saw these in my local with an sel of £8.99, so had a price check at the pharmacy till which came up at £2.25 - so grabbed 2 and paid at the main tills with my other shopping, but they rang through at £8.99?
A supervisor did a price check on the main till and it did show as £2.25, but said that it must be a till error and refused to sell it to me at the reduced price.

Does anyone know why a price enquiry comes up as a cheaper price, then when scanning it through?

My thought is that this store hasn't put a clearance sticker on like they should do, and override the till price when scanned.
What is the point of giving the price on an enquiry if they're not going to honor it?

I'm not too miffed about this, but would like to know in future if it's a product i really want.

    Many Thanks in advance.
  • Been and used all my No 7 vouchers and noticed the Ltd Edition Vintage Eyeshadow tin goes through at £8.50 instead of £10.50 and on all the things i bought apart from the vintage tin the Parenting voucher scanned through without having to be overridden.

The 750pts one still had to be overridden though.

Very odd, mine didn't have a reduced sticker actually on the packaging, just on the shelf edge. I bought them via the pharmacy counter too.

    No idea otherwise

I do think Boots have very odd pricing strategys
