This made me laugh! Kind of a bonus though to regain an entire year of life
But seriously, I am sorry to hear about the liquidation thing. That sounds a worry. Think you are right to leave as soon as you can." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Today was a bit strange at work, a service user suddenly passed away this morning and my 2 colleagues had to do CPR then 3 ambulances arrived and the Police! Horrible shock for them so things were a emotional, I managed to get a bit of work done and then school phoned to say that ds had been sick again so went to pick him up. I'll keep him off tomorrow but he has eaten fine and is relaxing so not sure whether he just got a little hot in class.
Finally got a message from boss of second job about expenses so hopefully that will be in the bank in the next couple of days and I'll put some more away for London. Also had some cashback clear £41 on it's way.
MSE things done today:
* All meals from/at home
* YNAB up to date
* Checked whether we had Deep Heat rather than just buying it, have plenty (I strained my back whilst cleaning trainers - how pathetic) so using that. I have a race on Sunday with a beginners group so glad it will be slower than my usual.
That's it, we've been out coaching this evening then had tea, dd is on her way back from climbing session.
Tomorrow I have another chance to catch up with paperwork and emails, plus lots of washing to do so fingers crossed the sun is out again.

Whoop small progresses
*checked on cancelled tablet contract and this has now finished so another direct debit off the list and £5.11 a month saved.
*meter readings submitted.
*moved £7 from account rewards to savings.
Easily pleased! H x0 -
Gosh that sounds very sad and awful at work. Poor person who died and poor you for being caught up in things.
Hope your DS feels better tommorow." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Good morning, the sun is indeed shining and washing is a production line, so far I have 2 loads out on the line, one in the wash, one load to go, 2 loads put away that have been in a pile for days!
I usually concentrate better on paperwork in the afternoon so after lunch I will get cracking on that.
Ds is fine (eating like a gannet) no more sickness, I did have a chat with him to make sure everything was OK at school and nothing worrying him but he's said there wasn't. I think I will pop and see his teacher in the morning just to have a chat.
My back is sore, I need to lead my coaching session tonight so will have to take some painkillers later, so frustrating!
MSE things for today so far:
* Expenses have been paid so £100 moved to London savings and the rest has stayed in the account.
* Washing ongoing as described above.
* Dishes done.
* Need to pop to post office to send off this months expenses and receipts.
* Meals from home - planning a mini roast for this afternoon before we all go out to club / sessions.
* Update YNAB
* Tomatoes getting some sunshine, I need to source some herb cuttings to get started.
This is why I need to work part-time, I can get so much done at home.

An interesting morning - went to collect an item from the main post office that didn't have enough postage so had to pay £2, it turned out to be a birthday card from my best friend and she had forgotten to put a stamp on it! Banana! Then went to do some coaching and then drove 45 minutes to a meeting only for the other person to fail to show, it really infuriates me when someone doesn't contact you and I left her a message this morning confirming we're still meeting, I won't be chasing her, still get my mileage but could have come home and got on with some work.
I was home for 5 minutes and the lovely postman brought me a selection of goodies - a cheque for some work my dh does for a club, in the bank already and transferred to savings which now stands at £340 for London trip. Also a top and t-shirt from my eldest brother coz he is lovely see! and a parcel from my younger brother for my birthday - a cheese sandwich, yes you read correctly a cheese sandwich and apparently I have more to come over the next few weeks with different combinations of cheese and another filling, today's is banoffe curd and chocolate. :rotfl:
Off to pick up the boy soon and get a few bits for tea, tomorrow I need to go to the leisure centre and sort out my equipment cupboard as it's a mess then we have a race on Sunday so another busy weekend ahead.
So glad I've got time at the minute to keep on top of things, my dh has been brill too as he has been getting bags of stones for free to put on our back garden so this is now finished and will get some pots to grow some herbs and flowers.

Afternoon all, this morning dh and the kids helped me sort out the equipment cupboard and we did an inventory of it all plus some kit that is in our kitchen. Have loads to use with our juniors! We then went into town to look at outfits for the wedding, got everything for ds but nothing nice for dd. DH is going to get his suit cleaned and just buy a new shirt, he tried on a pair of trousers in N**t but he couldn't even get them past his calves!! Ha ha.
Lunch was at home then dh cut the grass and thought I would clear the weeds from the front bed but then my back went again, so painful I have never hurt my back like this before! Resting for the remainder of the afternoon so getting the kids to wait on me.
All finances up to date, next pay day is on 15th and will have another on day we go to Germany. Just need to sit tight now and not spend on anything unnecessary.

Good evening, lots has happened since I last posted and I've been extremely busy with work, family and coaching.
So where to begin, the trip to Germany was fantastic the wedding was perfect and everyone got along and we even made up with some family members although not my Dad as he's still an idiot! He was meant to do a reading in the church but told my brother the night before that he wasn't doing it, so I stepped in. It really was a lovely few days and the kids had a great time, we didn't want to come home.
The next trip is to London in August and I need to start again with the funds as we've had to use the money, all the overdrafts etc. are also back up so need to be cracking on with these again. Although we have paid off a computer part early which was £450 so not been completely slacking.
The biggest change to come is that I handed in my notice at the main job as I'd just had enough, I've not been doing what I was employed to do so doing other jobs which are boring and frustrating. I finish there on 6th July and will then have my second job to be able to concentrate on fully, that has been very busy with 2 trips to Cardiff already this month plus another this weekend and lots of other work in the pipeline. That will be 3 days a week and potentially a 4th day could be added which would be perfect. The other reason for the decision is that I am tired of working 6 days a week, plus days where I'm working day & evening, plus weekends, I need some time to be at home and be with the kids.
I'm probably sounding like a right idiot giving up a job when I debts to pay but I think that I can actually manage everything better plus be around more to keep the house ticking over, decorate and also batch cook / reduce the food bill. I will also have more time to run which I need to be fit for my job so again works in my favour. I'm looking forward to it, I've always worked non-stop so it will be great to have some 'me' time.
My plans for the last 6 months of the year are:
* Save money for London trip
* Finish decorating ds bedroom, need to get cupboard knocked out still and waiting for the lad to get back from holiday to sort out
* Pay off overdraft 1 (currently -£1,147.15) and close account
I'm still doing surveys, looking at freebie sites for useful items and need to do a trip to charity shops to look for curtains and a lamp shade for ds room. I will be off for most of the summer with the kids and any days I am working the kids can come too as they can join in, bonus of being involved in sports coaching.
Things to do this week:
* Prepare for competition on Thursday.
* Print off details for trip to Cardiff on Friday/Saturday
* Get Dad's (step-dad) brithday present
* Chase up boss again as haven't been paid expenses of £161 and the next lot are due to be sent at the weekend!
I hope everyone is well, off to catch up with diaries.

Lovely to see you back posting. Exciting times, you have to do what's right for you and your family, you can't work yourself in to the ground and as you say when time is short, we tend to spend money to 'help' being at home more should help with you being more frugal. Best of luck.0
