Men are funny creatures......has he been to see someone regarding his moods???? If not it sounds like a good old shouting match might be in order to clear the air and make him listen to you xx

Ok so air is clear for now, I've tried to suggest he goes to speak to a counsellor who specialises in ex-military needs I might just send him a few links if I can find one.

Had a lovely Sunday dh and the kids were my support team whilst I did a tough 10km race in the hills of Snowdonia, weather was beautiful and really enjoyed it but my legs are still aching today. We've been out this morning and walked 5 1/2 miles in our local hills.

YNAB has been planned for August, now we are getting just 2 wages in it's actually clearer to budget we need to save main wages for London in just over 2 weeks time but my survey income is extra so I've sent over another £10 to overdraft bringing down just that little bit further. My boss phoned r.e. my expenses earlier as waiting on another £300 and that will be used for London.

I'm still on the look out for a chest of drawers for ds room, I've asked for a couple but some people just don't seem to respond also people asking for some of my things I've put on then don't message back!

Working tomorrow morning at a holiday club and then junior club in the evening, we're just going to coach on Thursday then have August off.

Hi hi, had a lovely morning coaching such a lovely group of kids - honestly I've never met such a nice group of children, makes the job so worthwhile!

After that we popped to the shops in that town to buy stationery and a bag for the kids for back to school, seemed silly not to get it whilst we were there and not make a special trip. I've also just paid for a 'buy it now' chest of drawers for ds room, at £25 it was a bargain and just arranging collection from the next town for either tomorrow or Friday then I can pack up lots of his bits ready for the room to be decorated.

Nice and relaxed evening tonight then home tomorrow, sent dh a link to a help line from Help for Heroes he hasn't mentioned it yet - maybe something for when he's ready.

DS and I picked up the chest of drawers this morning, really pleased with it as it is very good quality and well built so now sitting in his room waiting for me to transfer his clothes and empty the cupboard that is getting knocked out. I'll do that when I get back from my coaching later. After the cupboard is taken out I need to buy the new door for the room and then organise for the carpenter to come to hang it plus change the skirting boards and door frame, the house will have all natural wood door frames and skirting eventually and then areas that are already done look really nice.

A scarce amount of surveys done today but transferred from PP to make a small £5 to overdraft, have I mentioned how much I love these regular little payments, the balance is going down nicely :D The next lump sum to be added will be on 15th August, this will bring the balance into the £600's :j Really hope to be well on my way to clearing the overdraft by Xmas!

Also received my second lot of tickets for the sporting event we are attending in London, so we have a set for the morning session and a set for the evening session - I can't wait!

Right off for dinner, H x

Good evening, kids have had a relaxing day at home they're still in their pyjamas! Tomorrow they can help me tidy up and cut back plants in the front garden in between the rain.

DS room is tidy and will be easy to empty the night before the work gets done, I've been busy cleaning and doing the laundry as well as a few surveys.

There is a desk available on freecycle that I've asked for a photo and measurements, if it's right this will fit under the stairs where we have one of the computers and I do my work there. I'll be able to rip out the built-in desk that's there now and find some drawers to put in the huge amount of paperwork that I have for my job that is cluttering up the hall and some under the stairs.

Just waiting for a few more surveys to be approved and then I'll request a payout and send over to overdraft.

Phoned home insurance company to change a few details on renewal and also told them that I could get the same cover cheaper elsewhere, the lady added a 'loyalty bonus' and brought the payment down so now renewal is not costing any extra. I do need to phone back again as only one thing was changed on the email confirmation and need another bit changed that I asked for. Overall a good call.

    Having a chilled out evening, H x

Good afternoon, ooh itching to make another payment - must be patient!

This morning I have cleared the front garden of weeds with the help of the kids, dh has gone walking in the hills with his mates so nice and quiet ha ha. We also cut back the lavender and another bush that were growing through from next door, she is always fine that we do this and I can't stand lavender. Need to put on another layer of weed control sheeting and bark before we put some pots of plants on there. Ds and I went into town to see if we could find some plants for the hanging baskets but nothing looked good.

I have chicken marinating in a Chinese style mixture with soy sauce, spring onions, garlic, 5 spice and sesame oil, and rice soaking so that will be for tea with our lovely fresh veg.

Lady emailed back about the desk, a bit small for what I need under the stairs but perfect for ds room, his room will be kitted out for pennies! Collecting it tomorrow morning as dh has the car today.

Relaxing this afternoon because I don't know what to do next in the house without it costing money, ds room needs curtain rail, curtains, lamp shade, new mattress, new door, new air vent and of course paint and a carpet. I'll keep an eye out on fb sites for curtains etc. but the rest will be a while until it's needed yet.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, H
