My second job is quiet too, you would imagine being a sport it would be busy during the holidays but this year hardly anyone has booked on to the activity day I am running tomorrow. I'm hoping some people turn up on the day.
I never got on with the Geocaching either, I probably didn't give it much of a chance really!
Fingers crossed for the ebay sales, H x
How interesting about it being slow for you too. Do hope you get some drop ins. Its a conversation I've had time and again wigh people who do drop in work. People say one thing and do another!Deleted_User wrote: »Hi Bob

Hi All
The rest of the day went well. Lunch at home was cold roast pork sandwiches then I took DD back out with me whilst OH and DS played a bit of the Lego movie game on the xbox. They came out later and I picked us up coffee and we sat in the park for a bit. Then DH decided to try and find the geocache, it was hilarious. Him and another bloke, yes there are other crazies out there with nothing better to do on a hot summers day than search in bushesthey got some funny looks from other park users or 'muggles' as non geocachers appear to be termed (according to all the user comments on my app) well let me tell you that after another fruitless hour of searching neither of the men found the item either although apparently from looking it up the item is of the micro variety and is about the size of a coin!
Anyway whilst they got hot and sweaty doing that DS was back in the stream, we should start paying rent. He and another little girl were searching for tiny fish to catch. They did get one as well. DD potterered around with me and a nice afternoon was had.
When we got back I managed 1.5 hours at the laptop as the others went into the garden. Paid an invoice for the ad. Emailed payment info to a customer. Emailed another lady back about 4 hours hire. And checked bus account (absolutely dire) & our account to make sure all is well for our increased mortgage payment to go out tommorow. I could weep but apparently we will get it back once the redemption goes through. Wont hold my breath. Things are going to be as tight as they can be this month. But small mercies are 99% of our bills are paid. And we have enough for groceries. So probably better off than many out there.
Going to sit down tonight and write out a project plan with OH for the remainder of the work to prepare the space for new use. He is going to book 2 days holiday to facilitate this.
Right baby is down (fingers crossed)

Morning All
Woke to an email confirming the 4 hours of bookings from yesterdays work. Its not a huge amount but it all helps.
The big mortgage payment goes out today. Yuck. Really hope we can get this sorted asap.
Probably park again today. Cheap and easy option.
Right back later

Great news on the booking and bah to the mortgage, how long will it take to sort it out again?
I think as long as the kids get fresh air they're happy, mine didn't join in much at the sports camp yesterday but they occupied themselves running about and playing on ds skateboard.
Hope you have another lovely day.

I bet that will feel lovely after all your hard work LegoMum have you tried Geocaching with your two? It is fun (just dont pick level 2.5 for your first go)
Huggle Did you get many drop ins in the end? The mortgage is still supposed to redeem by the end of the week all being well.
The boring bit is the value is wrong to get the top rates. If we want to object to that and get it sorted that could mean we end up stuck on the standard variable rate with our current lender for a month or so more. Which is rubbish. At present with the wrong value we are at 60.2% LTV it should be well under the 60% mark. Because of the .2 the bank is saying we dont qualify for the rate. So our broker is trying to arrange something to deal with things so we can still redeem by the end of this week. Its not right but its quick. So we should then get a refund of the payment we made on monday or most of it. Could be looking at around £600 back. Huge sum to us. So fingers crossed.
In other small wins. Had an email this morning from a customer looking for possibly another 5 hours hire, & I sold a childrens item on ebay for £9+£6 postage so will be interested to see the exact cost to post later.
Am showing the space to a supper club provider tonight. Fingers crossed. Dont have anything booked in on that side yet so would love to get the ball rolling.
DS being picked up for his playdate soon. So I will walk to the post office with DD. Its nice and fresh but sunny this morning. Much more my sort of weather.
Bye for now

Horray the 5 hours has converted. Need to go and update my cashflow spreadsheet for August. Its still terrible but I think puts me at about £300/£1100 (please mind the gap)
DD had some weird reaction earlier and the whole right side of her face went blotchy and red from her hairline down. Her eye was all red and she had a rash on her chest. So we have an emergency appointment with the GP in 20 mins but it has now all gone back to normal Still its better to be safe I suppose.
Made a £10 PAD thanks to the ebay sale.

Thanks Apple the doctor was a bit bemused. It had faded away so much by the time we went in. She cried at him actually which was a bit embarassing. He must be used to it. She's definately now aware of people who arent mum or dad
She napped after the surgery so I walked around a bit. Found and picked some blackberries. And boosted my roadkill for the day to 4p.
Just had ANOTHER offer on the meat slicer. The history to date
Offer 1. The guy offered £180 & I accepted. Then he baled out as it wasnt where he expected it to be. Forgot to check postcode on a collection only item.
2. Offered £150. I countered with £200 (its on for £250, he baled)
3. Todays offer £175. Have gone back with £200 (again) lets see!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
