Morning All
Today is a bit of a mix. OH is off to do work at the shop. Painting. But we also have customers using it the next 2 days. I am going to cycle over in a bit and let them in. Then he will tag me and go off and paint for the afternoon. Hoping he will be able to find a good break point mid afternoon to then take DS swimming. I must confess I feel much happier having another adult around.
I may optimistically even try and get some gardening done over these 2 days. The boarders are a state.
Managed to list another 25 comics last night. One set of 4 is on for £50.
Need to chase the broker today for an update as things are dragging on now. We ended up having to go for a sub par choice because of timings. Im not happy. The surveyor would not budge on their valuation despite me knowing the value they work on is supplied by the broker....there is nothing selling below £475 but he wont adjust it from 410k. So we have to go on a 70% rather than 50 something. If we had more time I would just say stop the process and we will look for a new mortgage but we simply cannot afford to be paying the £300 more we had to find this month, for several months, whilst a new option is found. As is we still move down by £140 a month just need them to crack on.
Right enough ramblings.
Time to get on my bike.

Sorry about the mortgage Bob. Hope it's sorted soon, like you say it's annoying as its all details that are wrong but have an impact but finding an extra £300 is not an option.
Well done on the listings, fingers crossed they sell quickly for good money.0 -

Morning All
2nd day of having OH home and helping with the decorating. He has offered to shoot down and let the client in for today as I had a bit of a bad night. DS woke up around 3 with terrible snuffles so gave him Piriten and stayed with him till he could resettle. Its amazing how being woken just takes it out of you.
Anyway OH has managed 2 coats on the sign and done loads of tidying up inside. So progress is being made.
Had a letter from my childrens cash savings provider to say they are knocking 25% off the rate. So I need to look at best paying accounts again. Its a pity as I choose that bank originally because I like my son particularly (DD is only 10 months) can walk into a physical location and make a deposit. It makes no impact having an online savings account. Not for a child. So will have to review if any of the banks or building societies in our area have good rates.
I managed a teeny amount of weeding yesterday. Will try and keep going today.
Need shopping (again) had a bit of a row with DS yesterday who was giving me grief for not letting him walk up to Mr T to buy a BLT for lunch. I explained we have groceries at home and he could have a cheese or salami sandwich but no. He actually threatened me with child services! I talked him round but it does irk me that he considers Mr T as almost an extension of 'his' fridge.
Oh yes and the broker said she had been pushing for the offer to go out and be faxed to our conveyancers yesterday.....wont hold my breath
Anyway off to get on with the day.

Today just got good....
I knew this guy was coming to have a look at the space as he is going to use it in September. Anyway just had a phone call to say he is now interested in a 6 month residency and how would that work for me. Ummmm let me think....YES!!!
In other news DS just found £3 roadkill too.

Frustrating news about the mortgage, sorry it's not the full reduction though.
Yay, whoop and cheers for the 6 month residency and also £3 road kill not to be sniffed at, I find 5p today and thought that was good.
Hope ds feels better soon and you get some rest too.
The percent reduction for the savings account is terrible, I'm the same got a savings account in a local branch so they can see the money being put in but interest rates for savers are terrible. I should moan really as I need it to remind low until I can sort out my mortgage too.
Hope the rest of the day brings more good news.

Thanks Huggle 5p is good too. I always think to myself whenever I pick up money, how long would it take to earn this much on my savings right now? Its a good motivator.
We had a teeny bit of bad news. The enormous pot of paint that we bought on sunday is the wrong colour. Someone had put it back in the wrong section. So its magnolia instead of bright white. I rang B&Q and they said they dont usually take back opened paint but will make an exception this time. So OH has hired a zipcar for £6.65 an hour to quickly buzz over there. A taxi would have been £8 to £10 each way so unless anything goes wrong we are ok. It would have been a huge pain to have £20 worth of magnolia paint going begging." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
