It will get better Bob, a few years ago we were scrapping around for pennies to buy bread and milk and transferring money between overdrafts to make sure that direct debits would go out. It's hard work, frustrating and down right upsetting at times but it will come good.

Hope ds and friend had a good play day and you are all well.

    Morning All

So just a bit of an update on things. The mortgage offer appeared yesterday. But the solicitors had yet to recieve their copy. I rang to ask the broker to chase that. Apparently they should have it as it was sent when ours was. Solicitor said next steps for them is to get a fresh redemption figure from our current lender as its been longer than 7 days since the last one was requested. Mess ups aside I am hopeful we should complete next week. Which should also still mean some form of a rebate.

On the business front this week has been woeful. I need to invoice a booking for early in the week that is around £100. After the red hot excitment of tuesdays residency enquiry I have heard nothing more only a text to say they are discussing it. Of course your head then goes into the endless loop of is silence a good sign as they are taking it seriously under consideration or does it mean they dont want to progress but are too polite/embarassed to make a counter offer? I need to know one way or the other because its stopping me pushing the promotion side of my business as I cant accomodate the offer and future one off bookings so have taken my foot off the gas somewhat.

Tommorow I have a party booked in, & a lady coming to view for potential supper clubs. I also messaged the artists about whats going on there and they said they are still interested but life and shizz....its a tricky one anyway because if I let to them for a week practically and then this longer res comes off the two dont work in the same space.

My husband is setting off shortly to meet a buyer of some other items from the shop. Sold via ebay. So thats another £25 into the coffers thank goodness.

    Anyway thats me :)

So pleased! Just been sat here making a shopping list with a worried frown on my face. When what should arrive in the post but a gorgeous shiny new £5 off coupon from The Orchard market research programme for Mr T fresh whole meat joints and whole chickens! That will do us a few meals right there. Horray!

That coupon was ace. Got 2 x whole chickens (£3 each) for just £1 once that came off the total. Bag of carrots with 10p off and a lettuce with 20p off.

Plus wombled a mcd bean and 1p whilst out. Happier bob.

So today I went to take the DVDs back to the video shop, & drop a bag at the charity shop, and noticed a job on offer in the kitchen of a local bar/restaurant. I almost walked past when something just made me think no I will pop in. Spoke to a member of staff and long story short I have a trial shift early next week.
I always knew I would need to get something to help us whilst the business builds up. And it may throw up issues as in how do you balance managing a business that involves letting people in to use a space & working yourself. But I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Trial shift wont be paid I am assuming but fingers crossed they can see a use for me. I think if I can bring in around £100 a week then that will really help us. So thats maybe 2 evening's & a weekend day shift.

Sounds good Bob fingers crossed for you. Plus you never know if it might actually help with your business having contacts etc...

Also, having worked in that industry for years, reliable hard working staff are amazing so some pay off between that and flexibility for that should be beneficial on both sides.

Good work on th t3sc0 coupon too :D
