    Hi All

So today we officially completed on the mortgage. Felt a bit of an anticlimax after so much stress. Just 1 text from the solicitors in the end. However the money owed to us has not materialised today so I need to find out whats happening in the morning. I always thought that all the cards had to land on the same day with these things.

The proposal I wrote last night converted to a booking today. Just awaiting the deposit. I should have enough in the bus account to cover more small expenses, alarm payment, wifi, last music license payment, automated £100 overdraft facility renewal charge, & electricity bill. So that is all good news. But at the moment the cashflow for the main payments in September of rent and rates (due 15th) is looking bare. But I hope that with the return of routine next week and the meeting with the exhibition owner, I may be able to start getting some day work booked in.

Oh and the residency is off too. Spoke to the guy today. They feel its too risky for them. But we are on good terms. No point losing a good contact.

May also have found a buyer for some items listed on our local forum.Had a few messages back and forth today.

Had to laugh today as DS got hold of his dads scissors and cut a few chunks out of his hair. So he had to be skinned with the clippers. He looks very clean and tidy now.

    Nighty night
    Bob

Great news on the bookings Bob. Yes, normality will hopefully resume when schools are back and you can gain some more momentum.

    Hi All

Paid £30 off the card this morning so now hit 61% repaid. Had a small class on at the space which paid me for this week and next again good for cashflow.
Rang the solicitors who confirmed there is £746 to come back to us. But annoyingly they wont do BACS. So by the time the post comes in which will be delayed by the bank holiday and we then post it to our bank, your talking another week really and thats not even to see it as cleared funds.

Bit fed up today. Have so much to get sorted and no time or resource to do it with.

    Oh well.

Glad you have confirmation of refund. That should help things :D how annoying they won't do bacs, I just don't get it in 2016. It makes life easier for everyone.

Only £51 away from 3 figures - that's very exciting :D good news on getting some cash flow too. Happy long weekend.

    Cheers PF & PM02

We came away on Friday morning for the long weekend. Down with the inlaws. My FIL was diognosed with cancer a few months ago but with regular chemo and dialysis is improving slowly. So its good to be able to both spend time with them and also to help out at the house because neither of them is getting much time to do anything right now. He has to go to the hospital every other day for 3 hours dialysis and the journey to and from means their days are just choka. Today I spent 2 hours gardening, ran the hoover round and just made sure the dailies were up to scratch. Tommorow I aim to finish the back garden and do some spot cleaning in areas that need it.
They have had some other relatives visiting this weekend who came and stayed in a hotel locally. Last night they went out to dinner so left us money for a takeaway and wine. Tonight all 10 of us (11 inc DD) have sat out till late eating fish and chips in the garden.
So today was my 2nd NSD of the month as nothing needed. We went on the beach again and DS spent the day other than that in and out of the large padding pool in the back garden.

We will be here tommorow then leave Monday lunchtime.

DD has now mastered a garbled sort of 'hello' with enthusiastic hand waving & it seemed as though we got 'bye bye' tonight. I had forgotten how special it is when your children start to talk.

    Night

Hi Bob, Just had a quick catch up and things are ticking along nicely it seems, great news on mortgage, job, more contacts.

Good to hear that your FIL is improving.
Its great that you have the long weekend to spend at in-laws to help and support and just be there. First words are magical, and being able to spend time with grandchildren will bring such happiness to your inlaws. My dd/ds were 6 and 2 years old when my mum had bc and went through chemo. I took them down most weekends to spend time there - children have a magical healing quality that makes you forget the pain and take your mind off things during the hardest of times.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend with the family.
