Fantastic news on mortgage to ease up cash flow this month Bob, and so glad that enquiries keep rolling in, and they will start converting to real bookings. :T

The people who have not taken your space know that it exists Bob, so think of them as free advertising for you. They are bound to come across someone else who needs to find a space, and they will recommend yours.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All
So last night I showed 4 people around the shop. 2 x 2 different parties. One for a supper club, & the other 2 were the ones interested in a longer term booking. By the time I got home it was after 8 and both kids were still up. OH is having a devil of a job settling the baby on his own as she likes to lie with me usually. I am just back from the supermarket getting supplies in for the next 3 days worth of meals. I am working at the pub tonight to friday so want to make sure dinner is at least made and ready to heat up if he is going to be having nights like that.
Will batch cook lasagne, chilli and sheppards pie once I get up again from feeding the baby. DS is back to school tommorow and we still have uniform to label. I think the rest of the week will be a bit of a blur with getting used to the new school run to a different location, working, have 2 events on at the shop tommorow to be around for, & trying to get on with promotion for the new venture.

DS was supposed to keep a holiday diary. He has just managed to knock out his 4th page...Im not going to stress.

    Anyway. On with the show.

    Bob

Thanks Foxholes that is a great perspective. Funny enough I was just saying to my husband last night that so far everything has been achieved via WOM. The pricey ad I took got me 0 enquiries. And the couple last night said they know loads of others who if they like and take the space will be hearing about it. So as ever not what you know but who.

So the good news is one of the viewings last night converted to a 4 day booking. I have a hurdle to jump which is getting a temporary events license which allows you a 7 day period a certain number of times per year. So fingers crossed. It can take 10 days to go through so I need to get onto that asap.

Just waiting for OH to get home so I can tag team him and get to my evenings shift by 7. DD currently asleep but lets see how that goes!

It's tricky juggling it all Bob, but well done on the part time jobs, it's hard but it all helps with the cashflow :)
Poor little DD, she's been so used to having you settle her in. She will get used to it eventually. My DS was a nightmare at bed time - always wanted me and then to know that I was upstairs before he would fall asleep!

    Hi All

Another busy day here. Walked DS up to get the bus which takes 15 mins from ours. Then got the bus to school. Just on time despite leaving at 7.45. Need to work out if the 2 buses we are getting is the best route. Walked back up the road from school with DH which takes about 20 mins then he caught the bus home and DD and I caught a bus towards our shop, then walked across the park from there. She really wasnt a joy this morning with nap refusal till she eventually zonked out at 11.30 briefly for about 30 mins.
I had a meeting from 10 to 10.45 then bused/walked home. Tried to check on our budget for the month but realised all the files were on the old computer. So we have been faffing around with the hard drive and memory sticks.

OH has just realised after my enquiries that his tax code changed in April and subsequently we've lost £100 a month somewhere. Hands up Im normally on top of these things but somehow hadnt noticed because his salary still started with a certain figure so didnt notice the odd...something to chase up.

For some reason my work phone number has been spammed all morning from about 10 numbers wanting to enquire about my gas and electricity supply.

Wolfing a sandwich now before we leave at 2.30 to get to school again. Working tonight but my shift tommorow was cancelled so I am actually glad of the down time.

Have watchers on 6 of my ebay items (well OHs some of which are good priced items like £70 graphic novels or £50 one comic) so fingers crossed for some of them.

Better go, looks like rain as well.

    Bob
