    Hi Apple
Yes so rude. But it suits me to have a very loose commitment at the moment so it cuts both ways. He is responding well to the treatment but we still have no idea how long it will take till he can come off the programme. So every other day he has to go to the hospital. Thanks so much for asking. :)

I would probably have been more annoyed if it wasnt Friday ;)

Thank you, he called DH this morning and seemed even more cheerful in himself so I think the meds/programme really are helping.

    Happy weekend all

Today has been really nice. We went out around 9 to pick up a few last minute bits for school. DS has been back 2 days now. His first day didnt go well but yesterday he was buzzing when he came out and his good spirits have carried into today so thats been a lovely thing to see. I think he was very bored this summer. Sadly a side effect of him not wanting to do camp, me struggling to balance time spent between him and his sister and being very strapped for cash. It feels like we have turned a massive corner now and Im so delighted.
Anyway after we'd done our necessaries we went to do a bit more geocaching. I may have mentioned that we signed up to it early in the holidays thinking it might be more interesting that Pokemon Go but it proved to be very hard so we fizzled out. Today we managed to find 3 caches, one of which was disguised as a bolt! 2 were micros which just contained logs but 1 was a big box with some toys in it to take which we then replaced with items of our own. We must have been at it for several hours.

The rest of the day will see us getting started on some homework, designing a poster that has class values on it, writing thank you notes for a few relatives who gave little gifts recently, tidying, weeding & hopefully DH and I can have a chat tonight about what we still need to get sorted at the shop. I have a meeting in the morning to take a deposit for the longer booking I mentioned and review the items they need.
As of this moment in time including that booking and others booked in I have £650 revenue for September. I am planning to get 2 flyers finalised asap and handed out over the next week. Me and DD can do it between the school runs. And hopefully that will take us towards the magic mark.

Also need to get back onto the pub and see what hours I can get for next week. In the end I earned £37.50 this week of my hoped for £100 but thats the result of 2 cancelled shifts. Still its been handy for paying for bus fares, window cleaner (for the business) & a coffee or two ;)

Right on that note I must get on.

Managed 2 hours gardening this afternoon whilst DH was around. Have almost cleared one whole boarder of weeds now. Darned things are just so long and straight its very unmotivating, well till they are clear anyway. But I seem to get to that point about once a year then it all grows back over winter. Hey ho! Still I am glad I got out there as it heaved it down with rain straight after for ages.
Dinner has been done and packed away, watching Hannibal on Netflix with a cuppa. Love the gloomy autumnal evening feel :)

  • Your borders sound like ours, takes all tear to clear them and then when you do they just grow back :o sounds like you've done loads though and fab news on the geocaching - feels like a great way to get out and about.

Your post reminded me that I need to get DD to do some homework, not due in for another week but hate leaving it until the last minute, particularly as they are likely to have more next week too and it just builds up!

    Enjoy your Sunday.

Well today has been good so far. Cycled down to the shop, met the clients who booked a 4 day stint this month and took the deposit. So far so good. Came home and meet the family to go and do a bit of shopping. Plus gave DS his pocket money. He gets £7 per month which we set to be the same as his age when we began doing it last year. So a payrise coming soon :)
A friend and her girls popped over this afternoon which was lovely. Now DH is painting the shop sign (he is amazing at all things practical) & I have been pottering about with DD. We walked to the postbox and back with two thank you notes. Took us about 45 minutes to walk to the top of the road and back, unhelped by the fact DD saw our cat who she loves.
Had an email with my shifts for this coming week. Thankfully nothing till Thursday as Im pooped. Then 3 shifts in a row.
Dug sons games kit out for tommorow as its all new that needs labelling tonight. Going simple for tonights meal. Just sausage ciabattas, wedges and home made coleslaw. Will make enough for DHs lunch too.

Weekends go so quick dont they.
