    Hi All

Hope you've all had a good Sunday. I did get out into the garden and hit the weeds. In fact at one point we all were out there working. We've cleared a fair bit, 3 black bags full in fact. And I put down a sack of wood chips in the border, which hasn't touched the sides, but is what I intend to continue laying to get those weeds under control.

    Wealth

    * I saw a very interesting article pop up on my social media feed which seems to be saying that the government have decided to provide additional relief to business owners who have more than a 12% hike in their rate bill following re-evaluation. Which is me. So I will be persuing that line of enquiry!

    * Today I invoiced a client who has booked two more dates for the coming month.

    * I have had two good enquiries for family events, one of whom is booked in for a viewing early in the week.

    * I broke the bank today, £5 on wood chip & £1 on a new trowel, oh that high life ;)

    Health

    * Bit achy from last nights cycling, and today's gardening bonanza.

    Organisation

    * Im working a line of enquiry at the moment in terms of leads, which is proving interesting. There really are so many amazing local companies near by. One has the backing of Richard Branson I learned. So many that 'could' need my services. I sent a couple of emails today to people who are clearly influencers in their areas of expertise. I have decided rather arbitrarily that I am going to set myself the target of bringing in 5 new clients this coming month. By this I do not mean one off event bookings, but people I can work with on an ongoing basis, learn about the business of, and develop a good relationship with. This is new. I haven't been thinking this way before. Its amazing how much more powerful you feel when you are being proactive.

Right off to round up Thing 1 and Thing 2 for bath time.

    Evening All

Guess who got caught in that massive deluge this afternoon? Yours truly yes. I had just set off on the bike to go and fetch another bag of woodchips from B n Q when the heavens opened. Thankfully I had my Costalott card on me so scurried in there and cashed in a free coffee from points. When the rain finally stopped I was able to collect the woodchips and cycle home. Had a bit of a hairy moment with the bungees, but they held :)

Was yet again impressed by OH and his ability to do pretty much anything. Instead of black out blinds which we'd have needed 3 of due to the bay window, and were coming out at £15 each, he remembered we had some thick spare curtains so he cracked on and hung those as well. It is now a lot darker in DSs room. Fingers crossed that does the trick with the early waking.

Booked in another viewing for mid week today. Had two enquiries today in total. One I can't really help as the dates are so booked up for the period that she was looking at.

I was just thinking to myself earlier that I'm so interested in my research at the moment to find clients that it doesn't feel like work at all. It is truly interesting and I feel like I could read all day and still not get bored.

Goals for the rest of this week:

    - Get back to writing down all daily spends. This has wandered due to no routine during the school holidays and it really does keep me accountable.

    - Meal plan properly. We have definitely been doing a day at a time whilst the whole family was off.

    - Complete front garden weeding. It's so empowering to see progress. It's so true that all you really need to do is start. From then on anything is possible.

    - Do loads of planning for next weekend. It is BUSY. I need to find my Unicorn too ;) An article I was reading on the * bucks Unicorn said that the product was designed to be on Instagram. Pure and simple. They knew that people would want to picture it and sure enough look it up. There are thousands of posts. It's not my cup of tea at all, no pun intended but then sugary buckets of milk don't do it for me. However, I want to find the prettiest (whilst still delicious food I can make for my big booking and hope that they want to take loads of pictures) free advertising right here.

    - Find one new client that I can work with long term. Rope em haul em brand em.

    That'll do for now I think :)

I need to start doing daily spends again as well. I get out of the habit.

Thanks Cat. It's amazing how quickly you can get out of a habit that you thought was ingrained.

    Morning All

Well. I have got up and on with it, despite feeling in a state of utter panic since the first moment I opened my eyes. I dont know why. I think it is partly induced by knowing I have a big event on this weekend, two actually, and I wont be at home for the whole weekend. But thats nothing to be overly worried about, and nothing I havent done before.
When I checked my voice mail this morning I had two messages. The first I called back and we had a chat and it was all immediately clear what they wanted.
The other message was left a few days ago now, not sure why it wasn't delivered sooner. It took me numerous attempts at listening to the message before I could even properly make it out. Anyway duly rang back to get a voicemail. Have tried googling the business the person said they worked for, nothing comes up. So Im intrigued!

    Wealth

    * I have finally received some money that I have been waiting on for around a month. Banners, spangles, general Woot!

    * I have paid £200 of what I currently owe on my electricity. I seem to be in a situation where my energy company cant pass a message between their own departments. I had a message yesterday saying it was 'fab' to hear from me (really?) but I needed to call the bad cops basically. Thanks good cops.

    * I have now managed to pay £180 to my rates bill for last month. Before the increase that would have put me £6 behind. As is, I am waiting to hear what my bill is, but they would have liked £363 this month based on the last bill I have. The energy bill, I will eventually catch up on as my usage has massively decreased now that people dont want the heating on, so Im not worried about owing them a small amount, but the rates....theres nothing to be done. And I cant keep trying to pay last months amount, when I have other things to pay this month, like er the rent. I will obviously deal with all of this, but for now I have to focus on this month.

    * Had a viewing yesterday and they have paid me the deposit already. Have another viewing today for a nice sounding event.

    * Saved £18 off the big order I have put in for the weekends events. Which is brilliant that the voucher worked. It is supposed to be new customers only, and I was a customer before but in a different business name. So that is profit really.

    * OH has to go to a business meeting out of London tomorrow so has to pay for his ticket, but we'll claim that back.

    Health

Hoping the panic goes away soon. Or my mind actually lets me know which thing it wants me to panic about. Did I mention Im panicking? Think I did once, but I got away with it...

    Organisation

    * This may just save me yet. I need to make a lot of lists. Once this is done I may feel better.

    Right on with the show!

Great news on the two bookings, will you manage to get some family time before your busy weekend.

Annoying when a company passes you from pillar to post, hope that gets sorted soon so you know where you stand!

Has the panic calmed down a bit?
