Oh these little darlings do like to keep us on our toes don't they? I'm pleased dd is alright Bob - it's awful when there's been an accident and you're not sure what to do. Completely agree re 111 service as well - I find them helpful most of the time. Hope she's better and back to normal very soon.

    Thanks so much Cat.
Glad dd is ok bob x

    Thank you Apple.
Oh Bob how worrying with what happened to DD, always something with these children isn't it!! So glad she's ok.

Hope next trip to the venue isn't too late for you xx

Glad to hear your DD is ok bob. Bumps to the head are such a worry.

Sounds like you had a nice but tiring afternoon.

Yes anything head is a huge worry. Cotton wool approach is no good though is it?

    Morning All

Thankfully a peaceful night has passed with no complications from yesterday's bump. I am just trying to work out bike milage for the day as that is definitely the furthest I've done in just one day once all the little journies were added up. Gmaps keeps crashing but OH reckons about 12 miles.
I was presented with an extremely generous portion of the main meal from last night's club to bring home. I must confess to having a nibble at midnight :) the meat is insanely good. Anyway that will do tonight's dinner so a womble too :)

Have just been doing a bit of emailing from bed to a couple of clients, whilst topping up the Caffeine levels. I'd better hop it, the frogs won't wait for anyone :)

Yes it was. Thankfully all is well.

The nature reserve afternoon was amazing. Best day we'd had out in ages. It is a lot bigger than you'd imagine from its setting. Enough land for a good walk, sweetie hunt for the children, lots of little ones running about with watering cans watering the plants, looking at tadpoles, frogs, toads and sloworms. Tea for 50p for the grownups. Benches to sit on. Sunshine. Peace. :)

    Morning All

Another bad night sleep wise. Was still awake at 1.30 then DD woke up, decided to take up a lot of room in the bed for such a small person, then DS in just after 5. Think we are going to have to invest in black out blinds for him.

About to start a very busy week in terms of how many events are happening, 4 or possibly 5 depending on the clients wishes (one may be postponed) it's bought and paid for anyway.

Of my Saturday viewings, one booked, one declined, which I expected based on their requirements.

Managed to get two of my events listed on a fantastic targeted platform, so that was a great result. Which came about from asking another contact where they'd advertise for that specific category. It is so true that nothing good comes of operating in a vacuum.

Really need to get some new business in the door this week or it's all going to go TU.

Great to 'wake up' (ha ha) to sunshine, strong coffee from OH & a friend dropped a big bag of clothes round from her girls, yesterday, so a new outfit for DD this morning.

    Have a good Monday.

    Bob

Is your DS old enough to be told that, if he wakes up early, before a specific time, he can read, draw or play quietly in his room, but not wake up other members of the household? My soon to be 7 year old grand daughter always wakes very early and knows that the rule in their house is that she does not disturb anyone else (unless she is ill, needs help or there is a problem, obviously) until her clock shows 7 am, but she can put her lamp on if necessary and do quiet activities. She seems to happily accept it, though she does like it when I stay over to babysit, as I always get up at about 6 am and she knows she can come and find me at that time :rotfl: If nothing else, it has made her pretty clued up about what time it is :) Come to think of it, when DD1 first proposed this rule, about a year ago, GD was enthusiastic about being given a clock of her very own for the purpose, just a cheap digital one she was allowed to choose herself :)

Just a thought - might save paying out for blackout blinds?

Thank you Dawn that is completely sensible advice, and yes we have had that conversation so many times. He does try not to wake us.....in theory. OH is a lighter sleeper at that time of the morning than me generally, probably because he doesn't have the trouble dropping off that I do, or a baby up in the night...but he says DS goes to the loo and blows his nose loudly and things like that, which are disturbing, we only have a small house with a tiny amount of space between rooms.

He sometimes 'creeps' into our bed for a cuddle too. Which I am reluctant to stop because I know he feels our bed is not his territory anymore since his sister joined us.

So as per usual I am being a softie & should put up and shut up :)

Well. Today was interesting. Was supposed to have my client arriving at 10am. This turned into 12...and then 1.30....thankfully I could be flexible. My big viewing which was supposed to be for someone interested in taking the place for a month, cancelled.

Had an ebay enquiry first thing, which wasn't anything exciting.

Received a small deposit through which means I can pay the direct debit I have going out tomorrow, had someone else who owes me money send a very casual off the cuff, oh I owe you money dont I, message....when you have already supplied all the info including a clear timescale for expected payment???

More communication from someone who has been thinking about doing an event with me for months. At this rate we may get there around next year ;)

A good chat on the phone again with a local agent who places people needing places as it were.

    Another day at least :)
