Sorry if I have missed an alternative thread. Have a specific querry that I am confusing myself with when I try and work it out. So my partner and I have different dosposit amounts and due to poor credit only my name can go on the mortgagei. My question is this, if I put in 4k and she puts in 16k can someone help me work out the fairest way to pay back the difference until we are in 50/50 (at which point my partner can hopefully be added to the mortgage). If hypotheticaly I cover the full mortgage of £300 each month and i can save £300 to give as well. I think I am overcomplicating it in my head when I try to work it out so can someone give me a second opinion on how to calculate it fairly. Thanks for any advice. If you "owe" her £12000 to meet her contribution then you just have to pay the £300 each month for 40 months at which point you're equal.: )0

If you are going to give her £300 pcm and pay the £300 mortgage payments each month as well, it would be 13 months of doing both and month 14 of just the mortgage payment, then you would be equal.......I think.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards.
