premium brand fuels have cleaning agents and additives

Thats funny and probably a marketing con as it all comes from the same distributors

The base fuel is all the same, and from the same distributors. It is the additives that the branded fuels have, that supermarket fuels do not have, that make it different.

Maybe a corporate vehicle and they have to use a Shell fuel card.

For me, my local supermarkets don't do super unleaded, so quite often I fill up with V-Power at my local shell filing station.

The above plus Shell tend to not have queues to get onto the pumps and then queues in the shop

You really do know less than you think.

Unfortunately you can't convince some people.

They really think that it is all just made up.

That maybe correct so the driver doesn't care about the cost as the poor employer will have to pay

Forgive me, but I assumed one of the reasons why employers use fuel cards is because they receive a discount on the price of fuel as well as reducing admin costs.

Our nearest Shell is generally the same price as local supermarkets so if I'm near I will use them. Shell also have a loyalty point scheme.

It is so they can keep tabs on fuel use and mileage mainly.

Everybody I know with the Shell Fuelcard pays the same, or at least that is what they said.

Did you start this thread for genuine reasons?

Or just so you could argue with other people?

It does yes, however the additives are added to the tank prior to dispatch.

Also, all diesel is not the same, there are various grades and qualities o it.

The point being that there are various reasons why people may wish to use a Shell or BP station over and above a budget supermarket one, sadly you cant seem to admit that but deem everyone "silly", which to be honest says a lot more about you than it does about those people. ;)

Fuel cards mean you get a discount / pay a standard price no matter where you go.

Keep up at the back please.
