Morning :coffee:
I wish that my brain wasn't quite so good at worrying about stuff. This interview today is meant to be a bit of a formality but my brain is making me panic and stress about it. I feel sick with worry - although I have already been doing this job for a few months and I know that I can do it. Took me ages to fall asleep last night and then I was wide awake and stressing by half past five this morning.
On the bright side though, it is my last day of teaching today - I have no lessons tomorrow. Just a bit of time with my form class and a final bit of packing up ready for the class move and then 6 weeks of hols may begin. And I can hardly wait!!Not giving up

Thanks Kirsty.
I'm just sitting here trying to kill a bit of time - I have 20 minutes to wait and the nasty b I t c h voice in my head is really going off on one... Seriously - nobody on Earth can self sabotage like I can, and I am my own worst enemy at times. I'm trying to give myself a bit of a pep talk here though, talk myself round and say good things to myself.
On the plus side I haven't managed to eat anything yet today because I'm too nervous.Small victories. :rotfl:
I've decided that I definitely want to take a couple of days away this year, no matter what. I need it - I really need some wind down and relaxation time and I think I've earned it. I was so disappointed to lose out the other day it made me realise that I need to put myself first for once and even if it's just a couple of days I need that break. So I'm going to take it. DH packs himself off and disappears for hours or days at a time winding down - I need that too. Although whether that will be any good with kids is debatable...
Right, that's taken up another few minutes. 10 more to go...

Phew - I survived.
And promotion given so I'm now officially more important than I was a couple of hours ago. I don't know why I worry and stress so much, I just want to sleep now all the adrenalin has gone.
I've definitely decided to book a couple of days away. Just deciding where and when. Lake District or N Yorks... not sure as yet.Not giving up

Oh my goodness - I can't believe that I've made it to the end of term  I'm home and summer has started. It's been a real double edged sword for me today actually. I'm emotional at the best of times but when also run down and saying goodbye to someone I've worked with for 11 years I was in bits. I'm not a pretty person at the best of times but I'm hideous when I cry - all red face, red eye, loud sobbing. It's so embarrassing, but even more so today because everyone was watching me getting all upset. I hate being so emotional. Plus I'm way more sad than I should be about the death of Chester Bennington. Sad times. But I'm just going to relax and get a bit drunk tonight then sleep all day tomorrow before I get on and start making plans for the next 6 weeks. I still haven't booked anything holiday wise but I plan to very soon. I think I've worked hard and I deserve a break.
Got my letter today confirming my promotion and associated pay rise. :T I've already decided to set up a standing order to filter that straight off into a savings account. I can't miss what I've never had and I should get myself a nice little emergency fund behind me quite quickly with it. Maybe enough to make my house look less shabby...
Right, time to get on - I may be back later, maybe not.Not giving up

Morning all  :coffee:
So the plan of 'get a bit drunk' was successful. Now for part 2, which is to spend most of today sleeping it off. The weather is miserable so that should be easy. I have no real plans other than perhaps a bit of emergency shopping later as we're almost out of milk and the fridge is very empty looking. If the hangover hangs on like this all day though it'll be a case of sending one of the kids to the shops for me. I've been awake a little while but am ready for my first nap of the day now:p
I have a bit of exam related work to do today but if that has to wait until tomorrow then that's fine. Other than that it'll be crochet, tv and cat cuddling. I'm just going to try and relax a bit and see how the day pans out - not get stressed if I can help it.Not giving up
