Had to buy a new pump for my fish tank, my fish looked ill - so 17.70 on pet stuff puts me over budget but I love my two little gold fish, so I don't care.. hoping thor will make it, seems to be getting better and is swimming this morning, he's was on his side gasping and then not even trying as if he was dying.. I know some people say they only fish but I'll be heart broken, I know I will... so the money is well spent on trying to save him
anyway, I also spent £3 in poundworld and £7.45 in aldi, so brings my total to 328.73 (8.73 over so far) - not sure how much I'll be over by the 31st, but trying to do damage control!Grocery Challenge - Aug 407.97/£320 - NSD 3/5

£10.45 vegbox again this week. Personal war on waste still going well and nothing thrown away so far this week, however had to persuade OH to take enough salad yesterday for his lunches. Will get there with him eventually.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0

Spent £7.16 in HB and £38.70 In L1dls today which brought my total spent this month to £179.61. that's £79.39 under budget. Very pleased with how things have gone and definately seperating food/house from personal spending has made me much more aware. One or two things I couldn't get today as L1dl seem to be geared up for bbqs rather than OS cooking but as we have plenty to be getting through we won't starve as I will just adjust the planned menu. I have visitors this weekend so may spend a bit more on them but it won't be anything major. Looking forward to next month though we are away on holiday for 7 days of it so should be a bit of cake (pun intended). All that clutter used to be money0

£13 in Lidl and £8 in Morrisons. Leaving £77.81 until Sept. There was some beer drinking yesterday too :-)0

Oh dear, I'm going to be well over. A couple of - minor disasters - and unanticipated extra mouths to feed forced a trip to L!DLs today to update the laundry supplies in particular, and other things whilst there that might have waited into next month if I didn't have to travel to get there. And there's still this weekend's market to account for. I'm going to come in at least £50 over budget, but as we've had two lots of guests, including one with severe allergies, to cater for, I'm not going to beat myself up too hard. Must do better next month...
However I'm delighted to say that my elderly van passed its MoT today with flying colours; no advisories even, so that's money saved towards the inevitable repair bills further down the line. The mechanic was quite complimentary about her, for an 18 y.o. vehicle, which was nice. Sadly OH's car wasn't quite up to scratch earlier in the week and did cost a bit, but it could all have been much worse & I'd been saving up against the day when they did start to cost us. Both vehicles were carefully chosen for specific reasons, earn their keep and have done us proud, so to us it's worth putting a bit of investment into keeping them going.Angie - GC Oct 25: £467.21/£500: 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 40/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

Still holding strong at 1p left of the budget. Just have to make sure tomorrow is a NSD food wise! We have 2 slices of bread left and no butter, so will have to improvise with OH's lunch but I am determined to finish the month in budget!Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

£6 spends in morrisons stocking up on offer branston baked beans and milk. x0

As of this moment I have 13 hours and 24 minutes to get through on 1p. I must not buy anything! If I can do this I will be in budget (a reduced budget at that) for the first time since April!
And we haven't done anything 'crafty' like have my OH buy something and we class it as a 'gift' expense, this months shopping has been 100% legitimate.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020
