I am visiting my family this week. As anyone from the July thread will remember I buy my own food when I am visiting my family. This is something I have always done as my parents funds are a little low. Also I am on a ...ahem...DIET... so need to be sure of what I'm eating.
What I will do is any food I take back with me I will take off the grocery budget, and everything else will be classed as a social/entertainment spend.
Spent £22.71 on food that will hopefully last most of the week.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Last night when I was going to do the chicken tikka with my rubber chicken, I realised I'd not got any onions, so doing this tonight.. not sure if the kids are here for tea as a friend is taking them swimming, so will freeze it in batches as there's going to be a fair bit.
So taday I spent a grand total of 37p at mrT for some onions, I am going shopping later though.Grocery Challenge - Aug 407.97/£320 - NSD 3/5

today should be a NSD, we have freezer tomato and cheese sauce to use up, I thought I'd make a sort of penne lasagne with some of it, and fajitas with some other leftovers for lunch. The lasagna stuff should be ok for 2 meals.
still trying to get my head around proper menu planning but I'm starting by using up what is in the freezer so I can defrost it.0
