Selling flat, does it look OK?

Because I don't want my home address splashed all over the internet.
You've already got people on the internet criticising how you fold your towels, I'm not sure how much worse it can get...I've never seen an estate agents' advertisement that gave the exact address.

Is this an English thing? It's normal practice in Scotland, and nothing terrible seems to happen to us.0 -

I'm selling in England, and my listing has my exact address, as did the property we've bought. These both have names, rather than street numbers, though.
My view, when you're trying to sell a house, there's no point keeping the address a secret:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
I think it's fairly normal for advertisements not to give the exact address. It's on Mount Pleasant, but I would appreciate it if you didn't post the exact address if you do find it.
Haha YOU pretty much posted the exact address with your link to the previous agents!YNWA

MAGNOLIA.
But I doubt you want to paint the whole place at this stage... the previous ad pictures look less yellow - perhaps some creative photoshopping can sort it out?
As others have said it would probably look better with either some extra dressing, or with everything removed.
I also agree with the address/rightmove ad comments above.
Also...230 grand ... OP must know the market better than me, but no flats nearby seem to be selling at that level. Post-referendum collywobbles won't have improved matters...0 -
The sitting room looks decidedly unloved. The bedroom looks cramped - have you tried moving the bed to the opposite wall? At the moment it looks as though there is barely enough room to get through the door. Rooms look much bigger if there is a clear sight line as you walk in.0

I agree it needs dressing - pictures, vases, cushions and yes, a telly as a focal point would be good. Looks rather sad and sparse without anything. Even stuff from charity shops of freecycle would do the job. At the moment it's a bit 'Sitting on my own eating pot noodle'0

Buyers absolutely want to know the exact address so they can do their research. What's going to happen if someone knows your address? Do you owe people money?0

It doesn't look very homely, or trendy, or anything that would make me want to go and view it. It looks like the home of a single guy who doesn't really spend much time there and has no inclination towards interior design.
You could repaint it in neutral colours and try to dress it for photos...but if you don't know what you're doing you might make it worse. I think it would look much better photographed empty.0 -

And the door number....:(0 -

There was a spate of burglaries when EPCs first became a thing as agents originally posted them up in their entirety which includes the address. This became a local house breakers shopping list (police caught felons with actual lists taken from Rightmove on them) as they could see what was in a house and what security was present. Then they could follow up on Google Streetview and check out weak points and escape routes all from the comfort of their front room.
Don't get me wrong, this is still possible to do without the address being published all over the place, but why give them a helping hand? And I'm not saying it is likely either, because it isn't, but it is still possible and we should all respect the privacy options of others, no matter how "daft" we think they are.
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0
