They would be told if they posted it here - they didn't - you did!
You cannot believe what they say on topics they aren't qualified in.
eg. We often see posts where they have told those on the course that they don't need to tell their insurers that they have been on a course (which we know is not the case for Admiral and their associated companies)
They definitely mislead you when telling you only first offenders are eligible.0 -

If that is/was their policy, then they are not following the ACPO guidelines. That is possible, but unlikely.0 -
I did one about 8 or 9years ago. Very interesting. Very informative. Didn't at any time feel like a lecture or being talked down to. Modified my driving. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0

That was my experience as well, most people enjoyed it and went away having learnt something, there were one or two that obviously didn't want to be there and showed it by not getting involved in any way, one of them, a guy in a Lexus 4 x 4 wheel span out of the car park afterwards and stormed off down the road (30 mph) limit, obviously he learned nothing and will never change his ways, until he ends up killing someone.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
At first glance I read this thread title as 'Three pints or speed awareness'.
I was expecting it to be a tale of sitting in a chain hotel bar deciding whether to torture yourself at the hands of the AA or just get smashed.0 -
There have been stories (some on MSE) and some may be anecdotal about insurance companies raising premiums if you have been on a SAC. It is supposed to make you safer, cause fewer accidents so let's whack up your premium because we can. Not all insurance companies ask you about the course but if they do you have to declare it.
why declare it when they don't have access0 -

Because you warrant that you have told the truth on your application.
Lies can now be acceptable when making a claim, the Supreme Court ruled yesterday.

The centuries old practice of truthfulness regarding insurance is now at an end.
It has ramifications, if 3 points doesn't increase a premium then not telling them just has the same effect so it becomes a secondary lie.
This appears to now be acceptable.0
