Can someone tell me what I need to do as earlier today someone drove in to the back of my car. When the person got out the car he said his car was going for a mot next week but I didn't think nothing of it at the time, I then asked him for his details and he went back to the car and started to phone someone, He then came back and said his dads coming now and they will pay to have my car repaired without going through the insurance, So I said I will get a few quotes and get back to them but I think it's going to cost more than the cars worth so if I go through the insurance they will write it off. I then took the car to my mate as something was rubbing and when I told him he mentioned the mot he checked dvla website and it's showing the mot run out last month and the tax was due the beginning of this month. So what should I do now as I've never had a accident.

You need to contact your insurer which you needed to do even if settled privately.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

But you have his name and address, registration number and the name and address of the owner if it's not his car?0 -
Because you had an accident and they need to be notified. There is a chance that they will say its too costly and they cannot afford it.
You insurance will wonder why it took you so long to notify them.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
You NEED to declare it with your insurance, regardless of whether you settle outside the policy. Do it A.S.A.P. Hopefully you have the other drivers details, leave it any longer than you already have, there is nothing to stop the other driver denying any knowledge of the accident.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
