4 bed house with a garden, only 2 of us though. On a water meter. Currently £31 a month but going up to £34 a month from August.
Wash car every weekend which I'd imagine may use quite a bit of water having the house on for a a bit...0 -
Feel like I'm paying to much now £44 a month x12 2 adults 4 bed house both reasonable water savers.0

Oops, just realised our DD is only payable for 6 months of the years so about £32 a month then. Not so bad after all.Spend less now, work less later.0

It works out to about £28 a month for two adults in a three-bed end terrace (with a biggish garden!)0

We pay £25 per month and have water meter. 2 adults in 2 bedroom house with shower no bath. Previously lived in North London (Thames Water) and paid approx.£37.00 x 8 but no water meter. Water charges down in the S.W. are higher than London but very pleased with water meter considering we now have dishwasher which we didn't in London and we're still slightly in credit.0

(Dis)United Utilities up here in the NW have decided that they need £45 a month off me for a 4 bed semi with 3 adults in it. (not metered), on the other hand, if I give them £3 a month, they can provide all the water needs for a full village!0

I pay about £170 per year metered. Current rateable value is about £340. I've had a meter for about 20 years. At todays prices I've saved £3400 over those years. I don't do anything to save water although I'm not wasteful.0

We are on a metre. 2 adults (size doesn't make too much different to the amount used but 4 bed) and ours is £21 a month.0

My dishwasher uses less water on its "eco" cycle (which gets everything spotless but takes three hours) than half filling my sink to do a load of washing. My water consumption went down when I installed it rather than up.firebird082 wrote: »2 adults, 2 bed house on a meter - currently paying £31/month, which I though was quite expensive! I don't think we're excessive users either (no dishwasher, 2/3 washing loads a week).Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230
