£424 per year, no water meter, 4 adults and 1 teenager, I don't believe it would be any less, and probably more, on a meter.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

4 bed detached, 2 adults 1 teenager, in the south east on thames water.
i was paying around £440 per year on rates but was offered a meter and if it wasn't cheaper after 12 months i could revert back to rates.
that was 2 years ago and i now pay £23pm x12 = £276 so a lot better off. i do think having a meter makes you think more about your water usage and i certainly don't leave the garden sprinkler on for hours at an end like i used to!!
(garden still looks green)!0 -
£41.99 a month, but we have just gone over to a water meter (not by choice but would have soon anyway, was hoping to water the garden well over the summer though), not had a bill yet but expecting it to be considerably lower.

Two people. Metered £18 water and sewerage. It does seem to vary though as its been as high as £20 and as low as £3.
I'm not sure why the number of bedrooms or the type of house would make any difference.0 -
Come to Cornwall and pay over £1100 pa for a c band property!! We switched to a meter and pay £ 27 a month but do use waste water for the toilets etc.I understand that you'll soon be able to buy your water from another supplier as with all utilities.0

£15.50 for combined water and sewerage, on which I get a small discount for not returning rainwater to the sewer. On a meter so property size is irrelevant
. It's just me and have a fairly lengthy shower each day (two yesterday in the heat). My water usage dropped a little when I went over to a dishwasher instead of washing up by hand.
For comparison when I was not metered I was paying £65/month (council tax band C property).Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -

£24.32 per month, not sure if that's 10 months or 12 months. We have a septic tank as well. We also use a lot of water for the large garden. I think we have had a water meter fitted but opted not to use it.0

2 adults, 2 bed house on a meter - currently paying £31/month, which I though was quite expensive! I don't think we're excessive users either (no dishwasher, 2/3 washing loads a week). Large garden, but we use the water butts for that mostly, and currently have an un-metered supply to the outhouse which waters the tomatoes...:rotfl:0
