£8 a month for us on a water meter. Very conscious water saving 2 adults and a part time puppy. Including 86% discount of sewerage costs

All free, we have our own well and water purification unit. But I guess there is an electrical charge for the pumps and when it all goes wrong, then we carry the full cost.Debt is a symptom, solve the problem.0

Try a meter. You will have two years to decide if its cheaper. https://www.yorkshirewater.com/newwatermeterMore than £60 per month - Yorkshire Water - no meter - for 3 bedroom house but only 2 adults living here. Think we're being ripped off.0 -
We pay £34 but it's only for 10 months. People keep telling me how cheap water meters are but they never take into account that they have to pay over 12 months!
Ours works out at £28 over 12 months, but I think I'd spend more on a meter because we use a lot of water on the garden.0 -
Water and sewerage charges can show a huge difference in bills. Do you really mean water, or both?
As an aside, we have a bore hole and septic tank system, so fortunately, pay nothing more than maintenance.0 -
