No, I dont have a diary, as I am lucky enough to be no longer in debt :)
  • Just completed on BTL house sale. £29.5k paid off BTL mortgage and £500 to clear my overdraft :) I've just updated my totals. Have a tiny bit more to round down my small business total, but I've reached my transfer limit today so that will have to be done tomorrow.

Oh and the garage called me this morning to tell me my car was a write off. Just waiting for the valuation on that!

    Hope everyone's okay xx

Hope everyone has had a good weekend :)

I've been at home mostly, due to lack of car. Sorted through my wardrobe and have two bin bags full of clothes (1 for textile recycling, 1 for charity shop) that I haven't worn for ages and I'm unlikely to wear again. I don't have a lot of winter clothes, so planning a charity haul this weekend coming. My dad's birthday meal is on Saturday and there are some really good shops near him, so I'll probably spend a couple of hours shopping before getting ready at a family members house. That will be a nice day :)

Still waiting on a value for my car that was written off. Luckily, one of the company cars at my dad's business is being sold, due to the lady going part time and no longer needing it. They've offered it to me at about half of what I imagine I'll get back for my written off car, so any money left over will be allocated to the outstanding car loan. New car also has a personalised number plate as part of the deal

Starting back at uni tonight. I'm feeling really positive about it and plan to get an earlier train so that I can go and take some library books back from last term & pay off outstanding fines, hand in my bursary application form and have plenty of time to find my lecture hall, so I'm not in a rush or stressing. Going to keep a track of my attendance for both college and uni on my sig x
  • Updated sig :)
  • Just a quick update.

Car has been valued, which I'm currently in the process of arguing but they are sending an interim payment in the meantime. Just had confirmation that this will be in my account in 3-5 working days. That will pay off the car loan (and the money that I for my new to me car). Hoping to get my debt under £15k by the end of this month.

Nothing else really to report. Had my birthday, so missed both uni and college this week but will catch up on the lecture slides and make some notes.

Hope everyone is okay and debt busting :)
  • Interim payment for the car write off came through today, so that covers the 6 months tax, slight increase for the remainder of my insurance policy, plus the cost of new car. Oh and I've paid £1k off the car loan :) Updated first post with new figures.

I've been trying to look for low cost exercise ideas and did my first 5km ParkRun today. Loved it!

  • Stressing out today :(

I'm away for most of December and it's not something I can (or want to) cancel. So I've just sat and worked out how much money I need for this month, for December (plus spending money whilst away) and to get through January. I've worked out how I can just about do it, but it might require the overdraft...

I've also got a 'meeting' about a job today, think it's fairly informal which is why they aren't calling it an interview. If I get it, I'll work the next 5 weeks until I'm away and it should cover most of DD's until end of January. The rest will have to come out of overdraft. Hoping that I can discuss with them the possibility of working for them again in the new year which will cover me for money until I can find a 'proper' job. Mustn't get ahead of myself though... :o

Also have a uni deadline looming and starting to feel quite stressed about that. Need to really knuckle down this week. Am hoping to have the majority complete so I can enjoy fireworks on Saturday night - I've already said I'm driving so not drinking (can't afford it)! Have some work on Saturday morning too, which will cover food budget for the month.

Really wanted to get my debt to under £15k before the end of the year but not sure I'll manage it at this rate :(
