Quick update:
- Solicitor has said that the latest they would expect to complete should be 6th of October :j
- Money from car is due to be in my account tomorrow
Finally got round to tackling a packing box full of paperwork that I had 'hidden' from myself. I've now got a bag full of shredding to do, a tiny pile of paperwork that needs to be filed and a small pile of 'need to sort' paperwork. Nothing too big and will try and work on it this evening whilst watching a film or something.
Got round to looking at my credit report. I have a rough idea of whats on it, but today I properly sat down and looked at it, made notes and finally plucked up the courage to contact all the payday lenders that I previously used back in 2011/2012 when my financial situation was absolutely dire. Told myself that I will never, ever go back to that horrible situation. So, I've got my statement of accounts from them all, some I'd already complained to in June so I've got final responses from them and I've escalated them to the Ombudsman. I've complained to the others that I hadn't got round to yet, so just need to keep on top of that. It's taken me all day, but I'm praying it will be worth it. I didn't realise quite how much I had borrowed (or been charged!) until I sat down today and properly had a look at it all. Don't really have any expectations, but if I could get back some of the interest or get some of it removed from my credit file, then it would be a great help.
Hope everyone is okay0 -
Money from the car sale has gone in my bank today
I've just paid £2k off the car loan and updated my diary totals. Had to keep £200 for bills that are due. So happy :j0 -

Another good day today
Set up a sale on my stock items on FB at lunch time. Had one sale so far but tons of people interested so hoping that I can shift some stock.
Got my Sainsbobs delivery using the £50 voucher that didn't work last time
Spoke to another food company who I had got birthday vouchers for that expired 3 years(!!!) ago. Didn't think I'd get anything back but they have said they will honour it. That's another £65 worth of food vouchers for the next couple of months. It's a smaller food shop that specialises in gormet, homemade frozen meals so it'll be added to the freezer for special treats. Although I only have a tiny freezer and it's pretty full right now... Hmmm...
Hope everyone's had a good day.
Freezing in my house, so about to make hot chocolate with marshmallows I have left over. Yum!0 -
A week to completion and I've just had my transfer documents through to sign. Very excited0

Made a few sales over the past couple of days so I've rounded off some of my debts and updated my figures
So glad it's Friday :j0 -
Yesterday I crashed my car. Bad enough that the car looks awful but thankfully not bad enough that anyone was hurt. It's currently sitting outside my house and I'm waiting for the garage to call me tomorrow to arrange collecting it and assessing the damage. The recovery guy reckoned it'll be a write off.
Today I stumbled across an article by Paulette Perhach ("A Story of a F Off Fund") and it really made me think. Google it - it's some powerful stuff. I've put £100 in my (previously zero balance) ISA today and I intend to add any spare pennies from my bank balance each day to it, just to start me saving something again. I used to be so good at saving but not having a regular income has scuppered that.
Hope everyone's okay xx0 -
