Hope the dog has not melted! Can you believe this weather?!

Glad you are on your way to sorting out Uni - all these things take time.
September will come around so quick and then you'll be house free - a weight off. What are you planning to study?

Funny old day spent emailing agencies and then chasing up previous applications. Also cleared my inbox and starred anything important that needs following up - including my payday loan complaints!

Have a meeting scheduled with an agency tomorrow at 9.30am. They wouldn't discuss the details of the role on the phone (which is a bit of a pain) but at this point I'm willing to speak to everyone I can to try and find something suitable.

Solicitors paperwork came through this morning with about a million pages of paperwork that I have to read and sign. Got most of it complete but I need my identity verifications completed by someone authorised, so will have to wait until tomorrow to get this sorted and sent back to them.

Spotted a couple of courses running next week at one of the councils 'adult learning' centres. They would both really help with the positions that I am currently applying for, so I'm tempted to sign up to them, but at £34 each I'm not sure whether I really should?

    Hi Ramble,

I've just seen your post! Dog spends most of the day sunbathing, it's her favourite pastime so I have to keep turning her over and bringing her inside to stop her getting too hot and burning :rotfl:

These things always take longer than expected but I'm glad it's pretty much sorted. I struggled with my anxiety last year (still do to some extent) and failed so having to retake the whole year again! My degree is Marketing, which is what my career used to be (and what I'm hoping to get back into). I know for my future career that I will need a degree and this will be my final attempt to complete it :o

Praying that the house gets bids above the reserve price! I'll have enough on my plate!

    Happy hump day!

Meeting with the agency went well and whilst they had two jobs available I'm not entirely sure they're what I'm looking for (and whether they would clash with uni times!) but they've said they will put my CV forward anyway and I can make a decision if it gets to interview stage. I guess you never know what the company will be like and whether it will suit until you actually go there and get a feel for the place.
Also called a few more agencies today to follow up CV's that I have sent across. I am trying!

Free car parking outside the agency (as the pay & display meters were all broken) so popped to the bank to pay in a small cheque and booked in my opticians appointment. It's money I don't really have at the moment but it's long overdue and I'd like to try contact lenses. Speccy's are offering a free trial on contacts plus a free contact lens appointment as I'm having my eyes and glasses checked at the same time which will cost £20. I never wear my glasses, can't stand how they feel and end up with headaches if I spend most of the day staring at my laptop. Trying to justify it to myself!

Decided to sign up to one of the day courses that I was interested in. Chose the most relevant to my career. Hopefully will look good on my CV as I am trying to keep my skills up to date. So that's £34 spent...

Having my verification documents stamped for the solicitors this afternoon. Luckily I know someone who can do this for me and they aren't charging :D

Booked a doctors appointment for this afternoon. Pain in my leg will not go away so need to get it checked. Car park at the doctors surgery is pay and display which is frustrating

Also need to fill up my car with petrol. Not a cheap day, but I haven't spent anything for a while...

So doctors appt led to a trip to A&E. Luckily only there for about 2.5 hours and got dropped off and picked up by family member and friend. Nothing too major and hopefully have got to the bottom of this leg pain now...

Just did an online food shop to be delivered tomorrow. Another £41.06 spent but hoping that will be the last of the spends for the month (apart from petrol and milk top up if needed + opticians £20 next week).

Hoping that the next couple of weeks will go smoothly with no drama. It's been a rocky journey so far!

£100 transferred to my Dad this morning.

I have £15 left in my account. That's it. I'm almost at the point where there's no money left. My overdraft account is close to being maxed out too. I'm hoping this is only temporary, that it will work out once the BTL house is sold, but it's a bit scary right now knowing that there isn't any money coming in and bills still need to be paid.

On the positive side, there's food in the house, enough food for the animals & petrol in my car. Will go through the house today and see if there's anything else I can sell, although my house is looking pretty minimalist already. May have to take a couple of Kalms tablets, just to get me through today...

No spend weekend planned and homemade pizza tonight :)

Haven't posted on here for a while, mainly because I haven't really done anything towards tackling the debt and have had a bit of a tough week. But hey, it's the weekend and a bank holiday at that so I must get back on track and deal with this debt.

Debt update: No luck selling the other car yet. Will list on eBay tonight.
Had to sign on to JSA (:() which is something I really wanted to avoid but I was down to pennies and hopefully the fact I have to go in to the nasty job centre each week will kick my bum into gear!
Was supposed to be going to visit a friend this weekend who lives 2 hours away but knew that the petrol would cost a fair bit plus other spends whilst there, so had to cancel and tell her I'll visit when I'm earning 'proper' money again.
Attended a friend's birthday meal last night, spent £21.45 but that's total spends for the weekend.
BTL property up for auction in less than 2 weeks. Praying it sells so that I can clear the overdraft!
Couldn't make a payment this week to my Dad :( Need to sell some bits so that I can make a part payment.

Hope everyone is okay, thinking of you all :)

No update on the debts, it feels as if I am just treading water at the moment.

BTL property goes up for auction next week!

Have just completed an online food shop at Sainsbobs. Cashed in my nectar points for a £50 voucher plus found a section of the website that gives you voucher codes to try new items! So all in all, my total shop cost me a whooping 1p (plus some nectar points) and I got a free pot of feta cheese to try! Will go and pick it up tomorrow to save on delivery charges plus I need to fill up my petrol at the same time.

Saw that a website is offering a free dog food trial with £1 p&p so just about to sign up to that. Must remember to cancel before trial ends.

Need to cancel my Now TV trial. Used it to watch a movie that I missed at the cinema.

Could really do with an (inexpensive) academic diary for uni and college deadline dates. About to scour the internet to see if I can get a free one somehow? Otherwise I will look into starting surveys to try and get an Am*zon voucher. Edit: No luck on finding a free academic diary so have signed up to Sw*gbucks in the hope of answering enough surveys for an am*zon voucher :)

    Feel totally miserable today.

Picked up my sainsbobs shopping and they hadn't taken off the £50 nectar voucher plus the freebie was substituted so had to pay £50.77 on the 'emergency' credit card that my dad has given me. Trying to contact them now to see if I can get this sorted :(

Council tax DD came out of my bank account which took me well over my limit. Luckily a friend has lent me the money to make sure I don't get additional charges. Added to my overall debt total :(

Had a call from the auctioneer who said that whilst a few people have attended the property viewings, there was only one who seemed interested. He said that he wouldn't put the reserve any higher than he originally suggested, so once fees have been paid and the overdraft is paid off from previous fees, I'll be left with around £30,000 which won't even cover the remainder of the mortgage. And that is if it even reaches the reserve :( Totally gutted but nothing I can really do as I'm tied in to a contract with them.

At least it's Friday I suppose. No spend weekend planned as there's no money in the bank anyway!
