We all know our disgust with the DVLA providing details to so called trade association members, especially the cowboy run IPC
What is the legality regarding Data protection when a PPC passes your details to a 3rd party being a so called debt collector who then go on to harass people

Why do you ask? Have you asked the ICO for a definitive view on the matter as their opinion is the only one that counts. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Of course a debtors details can be passed on to a 3rd-party otherwise a DCA or solicitor would have no way of chasing the debt on behalf of their client
Yes, fully understand that when an actual debt exists.
With the PPC as said many times on here, it is a speculative invoice and the only time it can be ruled as a debt is if a judge says so0 -
