Not it's not. The very rich can live in any country they wish and they always do, they base themselves for tax purposes in monaco or somewhere similar.
Not the ones I know.
HMRC produces statistics on this that contradict your point. I've posted links here many times before and frankly I'm bored of arguing with people that are envious of people that are more successful than they.
Reconcile yourself that both failure and ill-fortune/health are bailed out by the rich via the welfare system. You aren't paying the bill so you should be thankful I guess.
If you are rich enough to be a net payer then again, perhaps you should be grateful for your fortunate position in society.0 -

Is tht the same HMRC that claims that increasing the top tax rate does not increase the tax take?I think....0 -
One of the issues is that in any discussion people use words and not precise data.
"rich person" "very rich" - means something different to everybody.
Some here might be speaking of those earning, say, £35k (which to me is a rich person) - and others are speaking of oligarchs. To me a "very rich" person's about £50-60k upwards.0 -

And yet you have much more personal disposable income for discretionary spending than people I know who earn the latter.I think....0 -
It does seem unfair that Millennials have had their working life affected by the 2008-2009 crisis and now may well have opportunities taken away from them by Brexit and maybe by another recession.0

My point exactly (and my mother agrees with me deeply on this one).
We're not allowed to blame the previous generations though, because that's considered rude.

I'm not a Millennial myself (Gen X) but I have sympathy with them as I know people who are just a few years younger than I am, but have struggled more with student loans, housing etc.2025 GOALS
