Not sure though.
Good evening: 6 week sole agency agreement for Option 2 i.e. no visual design fee, pay 0.75% on completion ...more here http://www.housenetwork.co.uk/low_cost_estate_agent.asp
...so far we have always used Option 1.

Thanks everyone for your replies. We used the pay upfront option with housenetwork, so I understand we can also use a loca Estate Agent.
However, do local estate agents allow this or do they penalise you for it? Would I need to get a multi agency contract with them?0 -
I tried using Housenetwork earlier this year and had to wait a good few weeks before the first viewing. We were with them eight weeks in total and only had two other viewings.
Eventually we went with a local agent and sold just under the asking price within two weeks! The agent charged an arm and a leg but in the end he got the sale and I suppose that's what's important."Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life."0 -

This is what I am worried about. I know once they come to see the house we shouldn't have a problem as it is reasonably presented and a fair price compared to others on there. However, the problem seems to be getting them here in the first place! I am afraid that Estate Agents still seem to have the priority over this and can get more viewings.
Has anyone sold recently with Housenetwork?0 -
Is your house in a prominent position? Will people see a For Sale sign as they drive past?
I am probably going to go with Housenetwork, but I don't think that I would if I was only relying on the internet for people to see the place. Mine is on the corner of a close so a For Sale sign will (hopefully) be visible from the main road.
My last property was on a close, that had a row of houses in front of it (makes sense if you see it!), so it would not have been seen by people driving through.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Hi
We live in a close, which you cannot see from a main road unfortunately.
I am hoping as it is a 2 bed townhouse and an ideal first time buy that most people who are looking to buy a property like ours will look on rightmove.
We are going to give it a couple of weeks and then perhaps try a normal estate agent (which is the last thing I want to do!!) I know from experience of when I was looking that being on an estate agents list meant nothing as we were sent nothing and had to rely ourselves on the internet!!0 -
I sold through HN a few months back but it all fell through. In the 4 or 5 months I was with them we had 22 viewings so don't worry about not getting them in the door (as long as it's well presented and not overpriced).
We instructed a local agent and to be fair they sold it within a few weeks. They didn't mind us using HN as well and did not charge for multi agency.
Good luck0 -
Forgot to say, your place is lovely! xGone ... or have I?0

If you don't mind me asking what estate agency did you use in the end?0
