Do not know much about the area or prices - but a picture of the garden is missing if anything.
Apart from that the property is fine for the 'right' buyer0 -
People used to rave about housenetwork on here. I remember a poster called lynzpower sold through them.
Other internet only options have come along in recent months like getmeanoffer.co.uk, so may be housenetworks have suffered?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Hi everyone,
I've been looking at all my options recently has we have 2 properties to sell inorder to buy 1..
I have the estate agent who is selling the property we want to buy coming to value soon... but it's been a long time since I have sold a house and just wondered what the going rate was??
I'm also interested to know whether house network would be a good option? 2 lots of estate agency fees does make me quiver!!
But I also wonder whether having all '3' houses on their books (the 2 we want to sell and the 1 we want to buy) would make them work any harder and get 3 sales quicker??0 -
If I've read the general 'shape' of this thread correctly, it would suggest that housenetwork were quite successful in 2007, not so much in 2008, and it appears from this and other threads that people have been a bit disenchanted with them. Which ties in with the general health curve of the housing market itself. Suggesting they do fine in a healthy market, but something's missing in the current market.
Does anyone know anyone who's had a worthwhile offer or successful sale through getanoffer? The scrolling graphic on their websites suggests they've placed NINE properties Under Offer in the last 7 days. For a website with a supposed national reach, this doesn't strike me as a lot.....0 -
Getanoffer seems to attract those house buying companies and little else.Pawpurrs x

Good evening: We sold 3 times via Housenetwork 2006/2007....all agents, mainstream and otherwise have suffered in this market. HN worked for us and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
powerful_Rogue: We are also in East Kent and the market is very sloooow! Lots of 'buy to lets' being flogged and impacting on prices just up the coast.

Yeah I am trying to sell a tidy three bed house on Sheppey (my parents until my father died)... two or three viewings over the past 3 months but lots of RightMove hits... but that's it. I've changed the pricing now to include a range for offers but it has certainly been slow.
I'm also considering trying HN for the sale of my own house.... I'm torn what to do, on the one hand don't want to lose £500 but then don't have the budget for 2% + VAT agency fee's.0
