Morning all.
£5.07 spends in Asda yesterday as I needed some ingredients to make brownies for a play date last minute.
I'm using Waitrose online at the moment as I have £100 off spread over 5 shops. But when I see greaseproof paper in Asda for £1.30 versus £2.50 for Waitrose I'm not sure it's worth t
It.
Should be a NSD here today as off to work.
Really tired and struggling with my diet at the moment. It's a cycle thing - I eat cos I'm tired then I'm sluggish. I'm a good 8 pounds over my fighting weight at the moment. I need this gone by xmas!0 -
Morning all. £7 in Asda last night on more baking ingredients and a few Friday night treats.
This weekend is going to be spent getting my house in order to refresh the diet. Going for a run this morning to get myself back on track, then a bit of gardening. Bbq later on today. They're bit people we know well and I'd really rather sit on the sofa watching tv but we want to make some more local friends so needs must!
Currently watching The Fall. It's AMAZING! has anyone else watched it?0 -
ooooh, I've just seen that my o/p has cleared into my mortgage account meaning I have a lovely round balance of £60 000!!0

Morning all
Thanks glass_half_full. It's quite nice to see! Original mortgage was £81 so it's coming down nicely. If only my parents hadn't said "interest rates have never been so low, there's no way they'll stay this low" I might be a bit further down the road!
NSD yesterday. BBQ ended up being loads of fun and so glad we went.0 -
Morning all.
Wasn't yesterday horrid?! Autumn is definitely here. We shut the curtains and watched a film. Even talked about lighting the fire!
NSD yesterday.
Should be a NSD today. Going to attempt to clean the cars this morning to save a bit of cash and then off to a friends for a play date this afternoon.
Diet starts with a vengeance this morning. I've got 12 lbs to lose and it's 12 weeks till xmas so that seems like a nice round challenge!
Aims are:
3 healthy meals a day
No snacks
10K steps a day
3 x run a week
1 x gym a week.
All those are a fair long way from where I am now so here goes!0 -
NSD yesterday. Didn't get the cars cleaned as had One of those mornings where I was tidying up after the children the whole time and the house still looked like a tornado had hit it. Will try and do by the end of the week. Will have to go to the car wash if I don't get it done as they're both looking a bit of a state now.
Work day today so should be a nSD.
What's everyone else up to today? Have a good day all x0 -
Morning all. Tuesday ended up spending £35 at Asda. We decided to have a last min day at the beach on Wednesday. My mum paid for most of it but I spent £4 on parking and £5 on the amusement arcade. We've never done them before and I think my eldest learnt an important lesson that you can't always get what you want. The look of sheer disappointment on his face when his toy dropped from the grabber for the 5th time!
Late night back so might feel like a long day today. Kids back to school haircut today. Hoping to clean the cars too. Have a good day all.0 -
Morning all.
I did clean the cars in the end. It took me 2.5 hours (in between kiddos needing attention) and saved me £25 at the car wash. NSD on Friday.
Really pleased with my end of the month totals. The Joint account is looking very healthy. Normally the end of August is v lean as I'm so busy I really take my eye off the ball. I always stay in the black but often by emptying out YNAB categories to sub the eating out category! So the aim for September is to carry on being frugal. Aim for the grocery budget is £300. That's for 4 of us. This is really going to push me but we've got full freezers, a lot of free orchard fruit and an endless supply of eggs plus the kids are back at school getting their school dinners.
My personal acc is even better! The o/p was £219.31 bringing me to a round £60 000 so my next mortgage payment will take me into the£50 000! Again, each category still has a bit in so looking quite healthy. Aim this month is to o/p by £131 then add £50 to my normal savings.
Need some pharmacy stuff today so won't be NS but that's all.
Have a good day folks.0 -
Morning all.
Spent £60 in boots yesterday. £20 on toothbrush for dh xmas, £14 on hair stuff. The rest was on a cream on offer that I've used in the past. However last night on reading up I found that tea tree oil might work. Lo and behold, the bottles I had in have worked a dream overnight. Anyone know if I can return unopened creams?
I think this is why I get on well when I'm doing a diary. If I'm not focusing on money I wouldn't have even bothered looking for a cheaper solution.
Waitrose shop of £75 yesterday which will keep us going all week. Only going to Waitrose as I have £20 off vouchers and 5% cash back.
Should be nSD today. Just church and chill at home before back to school tomorrow. Aiming to get a lot more plums and apples in the freezer.0
