Benefit Fraud

Thought I'd come back with an update:
The woman was called in for a interview with the DWP at the local job centre.
They couldn't prove the claim of benefit fraud so nothing has been done0 -
I know someone who has a registered 'disability' (so sick she cannot bend over, walk etc) plus a top of the range mobility car but she has had almost a permanent holiday abroad this year. There are many many posts of her holidays on Facebook - all the places she has visited etc and there is even a picture of her kicking up her legs in the air!0

Well, she's on their radar now so if they have any sense at all, they'll change their way of life. She should be thankful she's had a warning.0 -

This. I wouldn't report anyone."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Well I am surprised, as I have advised people on the other side, I.e. People Investigated for being a couple when they are truly not, but the unmarried father visits frequently to see his kids. They had a real job trying to proved they were no longer a couple. The DWP made their lives very difficult. I never knew the outcome, but they were certainly being investigated after a (malicious) phone call.chelseablue wrote: »Thought I'd come back with an update:

If there really is benefit fraud being committed here, it appears that your relative & partner have been too clever for DWP.
Let's hope they slip up not too far in the future and get caught.0 -
Only if you are really certain should you make that call. Many people have been victims of false allegations. I don't think anyone would like to be interviewed under caution if they genuinely hadn't done any wrong. If you have any doubt then please don't do it.0
