Is anyone having difficulty with this? Amazon are refusing to pay up on the grounds that the Silver ipod is out of stock and that a 3rd party are selling it at this price?

This happened to anyone else when applying for a refund like this?

PS I did send them an email stating that Colour was not my main influence when buying the item last week at £99, and that given Amazon are selling blue, green and pink ipods at a reduced price I thought they were being harsh. Unsurprisingly they havent answered!

Better not show my husband this - he bought me an ipod nano silver from ebuyer yesterday for about £97
Then just cancel your order - you have the right to cancel an order and return the item for a full refund (although you may have to pay the return postage).

As noted elsewhere in the thread.... this is not Amazon putting the price up. It is Amazon going out of stock. These ipods are not for sale by Amazon. They are for sale by another company through Amazon. You may ask what the difference is. The difference is that you are buying subject to their terms and conditions, not Amazon's terms.

This was the reason I posted yesterday about the factually incorrect statement (update) in the original post about Amazon playing games with their prices. It was clearly written by someone that does not know how Amazon works, and may lead people into buying from a third party whilst thinking they are buying from Amazon.
