Do you have that attitude to all laws or just choose the ones you want to obey?
I didn't encourage a thing. Merely stated something.
That's a rather black and white question to a rather grey area!0 -
I have 3 of the deviants.....absolutely adore them. We also have loads of other cats in the area and I don't want them in the garden. Recommend a decent water gun and just spray at will.
If the water gun fails, get a yappy, small dog or alternatively make the cat very welcome and they will adopt you and go elsewhere to do their business.
Don't harm them though. I appreciate its not ideal to find cat p** in your garden but cats are free spirits and the owner really can't be held accountable. Something is obviously attracting the cat to your garden.....find out what it is and remove/amend it and they won't come back.£6686 CC as of 02/03/2017
Goal to be Debt free by May 2017 and have savings of £10k by November 2017.....0 -
..........and the owner really can't be held accountable.
......... and that's the problem, lots of cat owners really don't see themselves as responsible for their pets, everyone else has to adapt to their wants.
Sorry but in my garden it's either the owners or the cats that have to take responsibility for their actions.0 -
We've all heard of the title 'working dogs' where dogs are trained to do certain tasks, often bred for that purpose, whether it's sheep dogs, gun dogs, or guard dogs. It demonstrates to anybody and everybody, that dogs can be trained, not only that they enjoy what they are trained to do.
So, know tell me about 'working cats'?? Some owners, are able to train them to do a few tricks, while in their company. But that's IMHO a rarity.
Mine, I think knows her name - but will she come when she's called, will she he!! But that's what I love about cats, I get a kick out of making friends with a strange cat.
Another obvious difference, dogs may jump, but they can't climb i.e. dogs can be confined to a garden, but cats (especially males) are more able to roam.
Mine, though, stays in the garden - phobic after encounters with Toms elsewhere - I just try to keep the greenhouse closed.
Besides, with previous cat at previous house with much, much smaller garden - enriched the soil - dahlia grew great.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
All you cat owners who believe cats always bury their !!!! are deluded.
I have seen cats !!!! on the lawn here, scratch at the ground for 5 seconds, sniff their !!!! then stalk off...NO not a fox..a cat.
A couple of the local cat owners have said they know their cats !!!! on the lawn and do pick it up if they see it.
I have seen cats !!!! on gravel, paving slabs..with at token gesture at covering it up.
Even if they !!!! in the flower beds, they don't dig a hole deep enough to truly bury their deposit and it will be encountered by the next poor soul doing the gardening.
So please, less of the denial about your precious little fluffykins...they do not always bury their !!!!..and again...NO it isn't fox !!!!...
Rant over and I've got me coat now...0 -

Our cat knows the following
Her name
Sit
Lay
Paw
Come here
Dinner time
The dogs name0 -
I wonder how long that will stay up! The problem is that some cat owners will think you are serious..0

Thanks for your useful suggestions.
I'm not sure many of us are too bothered about the responsible owners... but even they will appreciate that having to collect moggy from 40 miles away is trying to tell them something.. It can't be theft if the intention is not to permanently deprive..0 -
