No, I would kidnap the child and dump it somewhere far from home. Or I would poison it or shoot at it. Nothing wrong with that eh?

I'm not sure if you're acting daft on purpose or if it comes naturally? I'm pointing out that the principle of someone else's dependant crapping on your property is not acceptable. Cat/dog/child or whatever. If you want to suggest cats are as important as people in relation to a tangential issue then by all means use that as an argument to prove a vague irrelevant point.

People will say anything to back up their belief/argument. Now if you'd posted photographic evidence of such then maybe I might just believe you ;)

Well obviously I could only post a mound of freshly dug earth, since cats always bury their little presents.
  • As a potential solution for the original post: citrus peel (orange/lemon/lime/grapefruit) in the borders (or around the bird table if suitable) and lion manure (can be bought from most garden centres) will keep the cats away.

I have had cats for the last 20 years and their toilet habits vary wildly, however I found the above and potentially a water pistol with a small amount of lemon juice (1tbsp per litre) works the vast majority of the time - causes no health/physical damage to the cats and means that people aren't worried for no reason if someone chooses to trap the cat and 'dump' it however many miles away.

As an aside, this won't work for most cats (with responsible owners) as the RSPCA and most rescue centres will scan for chips, so moggy will be back home toiletting in your garden in no time ;)

Can chips be rendered inactive through the use of a directed energy discharge... like you'd get with a taser?

It was you who drew the analogy, not me. It's a little hypocritical to call me daft for replying in kind.

A person is guilty of theft if he dishonestly appropriates property belonging to another with the intention of permanently depriving the other of it.

    A cat is property ......

A person is only guilty of something if it can be proved beyond ALL reasonable doubt (or they admit it)...and for that to happen they must be caught first! ;)

The advice given was still encouraging someone to break the law - which doesn't seem sensible advice.

Do you have that attitude to all laws or just choose the ones you want to obey?

It can't be theft tho as bri said you cannot commit theft on your own premises and he's never wrong.

Yes I obviously see things when I see the cats doing it. FYI we have 6 foot fencing all round which is tight to ground level.
no dogs can get in. I have never seen any foxes in the gardens (would they climb a 6 foot fence to get in to our garden?)
    So yes,perhaps Im sleep crapping.

I have seen foxes in my garden and the wall is over 6 foot on the pavement side.
