Evening all
Where has Friday gone? I've spent almost the entire day sat at my desk scanning in papers. I've finally got the 2011-2012 financial year done which means I now have room for the 2015-2016 paperwork in the box which I can do tomorrow. Apart from the laundry, I've done nothing else. DD has washed up and finished the ironing including uniform she took off today as I was that quick washing it. She needed some of the clothes for tomorrow so watched some more of her boxset while she cleared the pile.
I've installed the game on my phone (DD can't on hers) and I've spent the day catching things while sat at my desk working lol Tomorrow I have to work outside the house so I'll see what I can find then lol DD is very excited and wants to go out on lots of walks to see how many she can find. :j She told me ex has deleted it from his phone, so it's something me and her can do together for a change instead of running errands
DD is away tomorrow and won't be back until about tea time on Sunday so I can either work in addition to the delivery I need to make, or clean the house. I'll decide tomorrow as I'm getting annoyed with the house so sorting that may out weigh my desire to get ahead with the admin for work. Either way we both need to be up, showered, in her case packed, and ready to leave by 9.30am. I'm not hopeful.
Right now it's time for bed as soon as I've tided up the mess I've made on the dining table....:wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
:rotfl:MrsMP, I'm not middle aged :rotfl::rotfl:
Up at silly oclock, I couldn't sleep, so I'll go back for a couple of hours in a little bit, as I am on this daft late shift again!

Good Morning all
RL has been getting in the way a bit over the last couple of days. Grandad still with us but desparately unwell, he has no quality of life, doesn't know who anyone is and doesn't want to be here anymore (he stopped eating weeks ago), I hope his suffering is over soon
DS operation is next week.
Need to do some serious flying today. The WM is on already with DH work clothes, DW will go on shortly. Bathrooms need a scrub and everywhere generally needs some TLC. Getting a bit sick of cleaning and tidying up when there are 4 people in this house who make the mess and its only me who cleans up!
CY - Have a fabulous day x
Bossy - glad kitchen is nearly there
Hi Incognito :rotfl: xx
Dancemum - yay to DS2 going out and having a conversation, maybe things are changing? x
Must list two unwanted gifts on ebay today, RRP is £45 each so could bring in some much needed cash. Spending diary is being dusted off today, I am sick of having no clue where our money goes
Have lovely days all xxMFW

Morning all
Thinking of you CY and hope the wedding is wonderful xxx
My DSD is into this Pokemon game, but I'm not sure I understand it :rotfl: I've turned into my mother. Oh dear.
Taking all the kids to a photo shoot today as a late Father's Day present for DH. I only hope DSD doesn't go too overboard with the eyebrow make-up. Not really liking this new fashion, but then what do I know?
The new furniture for the boys' room arrived yesterday, so I might see if DSS and I can put it all together without DH interfering and starting any arguments.0 -
Morning all. Cloudy here but dry and warm so keeping fingers crossed it stays this way for CY and the wedding.
Hope you have lots of lovely discos in your kitchen Bossy.
LW - how about looking after doggies while their owners are in hospital. There is a scheme for that round here, maybe there is something similar near you.
YSL - we've used dog sitters before, the house gets looked after as well as the dogs.
Hugs to anyone else who needs them and please keep your fingers crossed that my DH does not discover p0kemon.
So far today I have made breakfast, washed up, walked the dog, watered the plants in the greenhouse and put the recycling out. Second load of washing is in the machine.
My plans for rest of day:
Hoover/sweep/mop through
Big shop with DD
Give DD manicure
School fair
Bowls
Any gardening I can fit in
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Doubt cycling will pop in but if you do, CY, we are sending a multitude of spoons your way and we all hope you and your family have a lovely, lovely day xxxxDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Me again.... really pleased with my efforts so far
Both bathrooms scrubbed, DW unloaded and now on with a cleaner in it (I de-gunked it first ), WM on its third load and small people dressed. Made a spag bol for tonight's dinner. Also administered numerous snacks (these kids never stop eating!) and now we are going to walk the dog.
Christened lunch as fish finger butties, looking forward to thatx

 LW, I had a bunion correction and heel realignment on 30th June. I only spent 6 hours in hospital and I've had excellent care and everything is healing nicely, though walking - even with crutches - is still quite painful. DH has been holding the fort and is off to do a bit of shopping as I type. He hasn't been able to drive for 4 weeks because he had another TIA, but he'll be back on his own 4 wheels on Sunday
I hope you find some other way of getting doggy lodgers. Now that Mr LW is retired, would you consider advertising your services, or at least continue with the clients who have come via the franchisee?
Obviously I'm going to have to wait for the final outcome re dog-sitting; but the franchise has been on the market for well over a year - thought it was going to be sold, and that fell through. Franchisee has sold his house and is all set to relocate to another part of the country, for the sake of his DD's education (she's a sports champ).
The thing is, I don't deal well with other humans, so it's ideal having the dogs brought to me and collected, and I never actually meet the owners.YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »LW as Iona says, could you not go it alone? Would you be allowed to contact your regulars and carry on or would it be too much hassle? I don't know anyone around here who dog sits in their own home but I think it's a fantastic idea. Don't know what we will do if my Mum ever decides that she can't manage our dog because we cant take him away with us - he isn't good with other dogs and is a bit funny with children.
We'll just have to see how it pans out; I couldn't do house-sitting too, because everything here is adapted for my disabilities; but if any regulars who ask for me want to continue, I'd be happy to accommodate them - just not sure how I'd stand insurance-wise, and of course if a dog is poorly, currently the franchisee comes along and whisks them off to the vet. (Only happened to me once, thankfully). Also of course, I don't have any contact details for the owners - I'd have to be given those.
For now, Jacks off home on Monday, we have two nights dogless, then Millie will be here for a few days. She's one who isn't too keen on other dogs, so we'll take her the less "doggified" route for her walks.
Incognito welcome. I have a feeling we shall be very good friends.:o;)
Ooh, before I forget, hope today brings lots of sunshine and happiness for the CY clan.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hello everyone.
Nothing done, except wm, dw and walking dog (which was actually catching small virtual creatures, you know what I'm talking about)
Anyway, this afternoon I need to start with painting the wooden bits round the top of our staircase, and inside the cupboard in our new bedroom. Carpets coming for those areas next week.
CY I hope you and yours are having a lovely day xxx
incognito welcome0
