Hi incognito - good to have you with us ;)

Super pleased with DS school report. The word "superstar" was used. I actually got a little lump in my throat reading it. DDs as expected was rather bland, lol. The product of a part time teacher who's been in place less than one term, and whom I told off :p she didn't have the nerve however, to mark her as below expectations for anything... despite her earlier threats. Pfft.

So, not only do we have lilac walls, but DS thinks the floor is blue (I thought it was a beigey grey -greige- but he says blue;)). By the time we have the green backsplash and the plinth lights working it should be like a disco then :rotfl: I can live with that...

Tonight we are just relaxing, snacky tea as I just don't have any steam left for cooking!

    Lovely pic Mrs MP.

LW as Iona says, could you not go it alone? Would you be allowed to contact your regulars and carry on or would it be too much hassle? I don't know anyone around here who dog sits in their own home but I think it's a fantastic idea. Don't know what we will do if my Mum ever decides that she can't manage our dog because we cant take him away with us - he isn't good with other dogs and is a bit funny with children.

So, have hoovered and dusted upstairs and washed the bathroom floor. DS1 has taken himself off out somewhere, no idea where he is. Trying not to worry about about him!!!

Pizza dough in breadmaker, one load of washing out and its started to rain. There will be pizza ready at 6pm, no idea who will be here to eat it but I will enjoy it.

Glad you are nearly there with the kitchen Bossy.

Interestingly, women tend to 'see' more colours and shades of colour than most men. Some women can see five times the variations of colours than other people.

As an ex-painter I often found it difficult to persuade people about a colour, especially when it was a shade of white or cream, until they could see a large area of it. I remember in one house in Holland, the lady of the house wouldn't accept my advice until I had painted a door four times with her choices - eventually happy with mine :D

I have sorted out the freezers and done everything else I'm doing today. Just going to cook an asparagus risotto for tea - so that won't take long or make much mess, then I'll clear the kitchen and sit down.

Was going to watch the Davis cup but it keeps raining in Serbia :( Maybe it will be a fairer day t/m

LW, have a look at a site called house sitters, would you consider some thing like that? or may be offer to have the local animals in your home, just a thought for you, or contact the humans for the pets you have had, and see if you can make a private type arrangement, ie missing out the middle man / woman. Or consider fostering an animal for rspca / blue cross etc on short term basis.

    Welcome incognito etc
I am beyond livid with someone. My colleague is signed off with pneumonia but it is thought she might be able to manage a day, or two, at work this week. By the someone with whom I am livid...

Amazingly Ds2 asked to go out (he normally has to be dragged out). Dinner cooking had to be postponed. 40 mins later we returned after catching 6 Poke-things. This could be very useful to me in the holidays.

    Ground floor dysoned
    Airing cupboard sorted
    3x wm done
My friend took me for a belated birthday lunch.
    Bathroom cleaned

I was steering him away from lampposts etc and he put my phone down to cross roads. I'm not allowed to use the app myself.
Ds2 has even had a conversation with his brother tonight. :j

Oh that's not on, Valli I hope she told them where to get off!

So, after all that earlier about DS, and allowing him to stay up a little later, it seems he has downloaded games onto my kindle - and not free ones! To be fair, I'm sure he will have had no idea - I'm checking parental controls but I think he went on as my profile, the little b*ggers watch and remember all of my PIN numbers ( I'm changing them tonight!!!)

My own fault, I know. Thankfully it was less than £7.50. It seems you can't return games / apps like you can kindle books, so I think I'll keep them...

My plan is to have words with him in the morning - he only uses his own profile on the kindle - and I will add the games to his profile one by one as he "pays" me for them. After a weekend of media ban.

Reminder to me to tighten up on Internet-ready devices!!!

Peeled all the sticky covers off cupboard doors. Oooo it's glossy. Can't wait to see all the finger prints :rotfl:

    Lol!!!

My hubby and ds1 are getting into it. They have been out for two bike rides this week!!!
Although I did find it comical when hubby rushed in from work to tell Me he had found 4 round his desk at work. He keeps trying to get me into it but I am soooooo not interested!!!!

This afternoon we cranked up smurfs party album and tidied, dusted and hoovered the kiddies bedrooms, (a job that always gets puts off because no one sees them!!!) I did say we will have to do the same with the playroom, living room and kitchen also tidied and done s load of washing.

CY- hope your dd has a wonderful day tomorrow and I hope you enjoy yourself, without getting too tired x x x
