Anyway, every cleaner will tell you the Ladies loos have all the best and feelthiest grafitti; imagine how shocked the more impressionable young lads might be if they discovered it? We might blight the minds of a generation.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Oh my that first experience of a flushing loo in the services on the way home... Pure bliss - until you catch sight of yourself in the mirror...
My son's school had unisex toilets. I don't recall there being a fuss at all...I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Having been one of those cleaners, I can aver the ladies' spelling is better too.
Oh aye & I [STRIKE]adore[/STRIKE] enjoy the rumour that Angela Rippon on the after dinner speaking circuit has picked up some really scorching tales from the rugby clubs... O you poor fragile chaps.0 -
flu jab thread on the health forum

"I took part in a flu jab trial last winter. Found out that the present flu jabs are only effective for 6-8 weeks so don't rush to have it early."0 -
I'm not bothered by unisex loos personally.
I can see that things are moving very rapidly towards people just being regarded as people (ie not as "men and women"). All sorts of evidence for that - eg a latest survey saying that about one-third (if I remember aright) of youngest generation describe themselves as gay or the like - whereas in the generation I'm in 88% of us (including me) describe ourselves as heterosexual.
I noticed (on recent visit to Home City) that it's now starting to become commonplace in some parts of the country to see same-sex couples walking along the street holding hands openly (not seen it once since moving here to West Wales - but in modern Southern English cities it's obviously now "normal").
Increasingly, people are refusing to dress in the way "their" sex does if they regard it as impractical (eg boys going to school in skirts when they were forbidden to wear shorts).
It's all part of how society is going (at a very fast rate) and where we stop differentiating ourselves out into "male" and "female" and personally (though I'm a perfectly conventional person in that respect personally) I'm all for dropping different ways of treating the sexes/them having separate facilities/etc.
Roll on just treating people as people and not having the slightest interest in what sex their body is (though I shall stick to my "interested in men only thank you" viewpoint as regards any relationship other than friendship thank you:)).0 -
I had read that it took a few weeks to build up maximum immunity, which suggests the opposite. Though it also seems that the elderly don't build up as much immunity from a shot as younger people so some doctors suggest a booster shot later in the season
I don't claim to have any expertise in this and I don't know how to evaluate contradictory assertions. It's worrying, frankly. It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
